If you are still within the processing window your just wasting your time as they will reply thanks but no thanks and please pull up a chair as it will be another 45 to 60 days. Standard verbiage. Your better to use my tools then be on the phone or sending inquiry's.

Greenbaum's Tips:

1. It's advisable to contact NVC via https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address.

2.  Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture  you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

3. And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

I'm usually the reasonable person, with a lot of leniency, but I-129F is testing my patience. It pisses me off that there is no order, it would give us atleast some kind of idea of where we at, now- no clue.

There is an order. If you are within 1-220 days you are in normal processing so don't expect any movement on your case. Check others who timelines are close to you, both from your country and from other country's. I posted how to do that just above. You need more patience. This is a long 7-8 month process. They are not going to give you the answer you are expecting so find other ways to predict your approval. That's why VJ has timelines. JMO

Well thats why im asking because once the website says march 5th as "receipt date for case enquiry" i can submit an enquiry as it would have been 210 days / 7 months with no reply and out of normal processing times right? That feature is there for a reason? Or is it just another ploy to make people feel like were being listened to....?

I have yet to hear that someone was successful in getting a straight answer using this method. Your mileage may vary.

It's a ploy. I've only seen people report the same exact generic answer "you will hear something within 45 days", then if they haven't heard by then they usually get their senator involved. Worst case scenario, a couple people have filed lawsuits when the time gets near or exceeds a year from filing date.  We have the same NOA1, and I don't think at this time I'm planning on filing an inquiry, because I know it will only serve as further frustration when I get that generic answer.

U will be out of normal processing time when ur date on new site or the notice date on ur i-1797c comes up. They will not take ur call and just tell u that ur within normal processing time. If, u reach the new site/I-1797c notice date and call. They will tell u o wait 45 more days.

Can ask to speak with a officer (tier2) but, unless u have a legit reason they won't allow this.

Good luck

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Done that. only 3 cases pop up, none of them Lithuanian.. and none of them close to mine. One warsaw, other Armenia. Guess i'll just wait it out, i'm not even pass VJ's predictions. Hopefully today it's coming. would be perfect birthday present.

Thanks Greenbaum!

Lucky! Enjoy your time, Orlando is fun.  I can't get mine to come visit me, he says it's too hard to leave again and so he just wants to wait until when he's moving here for good....which as this point I've lost hope will be this year since I don't even have NOA2 and Canada is slow to getting to interviews. He's always been cool as a cucumber during this process and now he's starting to crack, which is bad because I'm barely hanging on and I need him to be strong so I can maintain what's left of my sanity lol.
