I’m going by what a poster had answered on a similar question and actually they called USCIS to find out

U can go by that or u can take the time to actually look at ur I-797c and it clearly shows u 2 different dates

1. Revived date, located near the top/center area. Which for u should read March 27, 2018

2. Notice date, located right side of page at the top. Which for u should be March 30, 2018

hope this clears up any confusion.

sorry those dates are from the original person who posted asking the question.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Thanks all for replying, I guess that officially makes me a late March filer then!

My only confusion was that my received date on the i-797c is March 27, but the notice date on the i-797c is April 2nd, and the new website says March 30th. So I had three dates altogether.

I guess it doesn't matter too much at the end of the day, I'm just getting a bit obsessive over it! 😄

Congratulations to everyone who has received their NOA2s so far!

You r the first one I have seen with 3 dates total. Uscis will go by the March 30th date if u have to inquire about ur case or, at least should.

I've triple checked it and those are definitely the dates I've got. I wonder if it's because it was spread over Easter weekend? Perhaps they received it, actioned it, but didn't send the notice until April 2nd? I've got no idea really.

The tier 1 I got today said that the rep I spoke to yesterday misinformed me that no one, not even tier 2 know what the RFE is. How annoying! He wasn’t going to transfer me to tier 2 but I asked to be transferred anyway since I’m now getting conflicting information from two tier 1 reps.

But get this - I spoke to tier 2 and they said the first was correct that they could not determine what the RFE is however I did NOT have a RFE yet. #######, I’m both aggravated and excited and nervous it means one is coming and just going to extend the wait even longer.

It's official. Case just updated with a RFE. 😢

Hopefully u have a quicker turn around then I have. Many cases been approved within 10 to 14 days of uscis receiving rfe. Can send back certified usps for about $24.75 ish. Can't recall correct amount. Uscis will recieve it next if mailed before 11am.

Should recieve rfe with in 3 to 5 days. Gather needed info, sign rfe and date near the bottom as u would any legal form. Even if it does not require a signature.

its not the end of the world. At least u know they worked ur case.

😉 good luck 😉

Thanks! I'm hoping it'll arrive before I leave to visit my fiance Friday. But if not, I have arranged to have a friend be on standby in case I see it hit the USPS informed delivery email 🙂 If I need something from Alex, I'd rather get it while I'm with him than having to deal with him mailing it back to me after I leave. On the flip side, I likely won't be able to respond till I get back delaying it further. 😒Oh well, will enjoy my time with him then deal with it afterward. At least we know there's progress and potentially an end in sight!

Most likely it's something on the petitioners end that's needed. Only thing I can really think of that may be asked from the beneficiary would be intent to marry, passport photos.

Sadly, u won't be able to mail it from where visiting due to needing the original rfe. It's safe to assume u will recieve it Friday. There is a possibility it was mailed yesterday.

Mail arrives around noon each day and I have to leave for the airport at 2:30 so we'll see! 😅

Start thinking of what it could be. Or u can call them now and see if they will fax u a copy so u can gather needed info. Tell them ur situation. Can't guarantee they will fax if but, what's it gunna hurt to ask?

cant send rfe back until u recieve hard copy tho.

I wish. That's what the drama with my earlier posts were about. Teir1 told me RFE and to call tomorrow to talk to Tier2 to see what it was. When I call and talked to the second tier1, they said I was misinformed and no one could tell me what the RFE is but they transferred me to tier2 anyway. Tier2 re-enforced that they there was no way to know what the RFE is until I received the hard copy despite my circumstances. But then she said no RFE had been sent. I called again later in the day and the tier1 agent said the case was still in process, no status change no RFE. So I had hoped the first tier1 support agent just lied to me or was looking at the wrong thing. Then we got the RFE notification today. 😞

That is exactly what you will see and with a small sampling from your country this will not work of you BUT there is another tool that will give you similar intentions but from all countries.

Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

Thanks. I did exactly what you said and only my timeline came up. :/ i looked at the case numbers before and after me (of the range I am in) and none have been approved.

Now you know that you are in a situation that is no different then anyone else who is near you. Keep and eye on them and you will know when you are close to having your approved or case assigned whichever.
