For those of you who have received their case numbers from NVC -- were you contacted by email when NVC received your petition from USCIS? When they sent the petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate?

My fiance's address has changed, and I just need to be sure that the embassy knows this before they mail him a letter with more detailed instructions...to the wrong address.

I have the exact same issue as you!! I may just email the consulate when I get the NVC case number.

Okie. This is all what I see though. Is that what you meant? I don't see anyone else from Belize here.

That is exactly what you will see and with a small sampling from your country this will not work of you BUT there is another tool that will give you similar intentions but from all countries.

Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

We got a RFE. Don't know why yet. I explained I was leaving Friday to visit my fiance and would like to know in case I need to get something from him. She said that she couldn't tell me but call back tomorrow morning and ask for tier 2, explain the circumstance, and they would he able to tell me. Not sure why I had to call back tomorrow morning. Maybe tier 2 is already closed.

I had a feeling about this due to not including terms of service for the dating app we met through, which I didn't read we should have  included till it was too late. Hoping that's it.

Trying to stay positive that at least we're moving forward instead of just waiting! Generally how long is the turn around for RFEs? Does anyone know if I'll be required to wait for the hard copy before I can process, meaning after I get back from El Salvador, or if based on the information they give me tomorrow, I can deal with it? Of course I'll ask the agent but just curious.

The tier 1 I got today said that the rep I spoke to yesterday misinformed me that no one, not even tier 2 know what the RFE is. How annoying! He wasn’t going to transfer me to tier 2 but I asked to be transferred anyway since I’m now getting conflicting information from two tier 1 reps.

But get this - I spoke to tier 2 and they said the first was correct that they could not determine what the RFE is however I did NOT have a RFE yet. #######, I’m both aggravated and excited and nervous it means one is coming and just going to extend the wait even longer.

Here was my experience calling USCIS for the first time-->

I called and the woman confirmed my identity. Then I asked for a status updated and asked to be transferred to Tier 2.  She ignored my transfer request and told me the day I filed it and that I updated my address a couple months ago.  I said yes, I know that, but I was calling to see where in the process they were with my case. She told me it's pending and they don't currently need more information from me. She said normal processing time is 5 to 7 months and I'm still within that time frame. I said again that I would like to speak to someone on tier 2 and she again ignored that and said I could call back in a month if I still don't receive anything by then, and also submit an inquiry at that time. Again I asked to speak to someone in tier 2 to give me more information and she ignored that and said "that's all the information anyone has at this time". I hung up on her. I'm so frustrated.

I'm a bit confused about NOA1 dates! Could someone clarify for me?

On the paper NOA1 it says received date March 27, and notice date April 2nd.

On the old website it says March 27.

On the new website it says March 30.

Which of these is the NOA1? Is it March 27/30? As I had assumed it was April 2nd.

Sorry for the silly question!

It's really exciting to see some approvals coming through now.

Hi everyone!

So happy to say that we are approved! It took 208 days. I wanted to thank every person who was posting here: words of support, statistics and even emotional things about how it is hard to wait. It all helped sooooo much!!! THANK YOU, guys and wish all of you good luck! It is comming! 🙂

That is really nice guys we’re still waiting our approval :( it’s taking more time but we have faith that soon we will get the NOA2

What a #######.. I called twice, once it got dropped while i waited, second time i called and told them i was on hold to speak with T2 and he transferred without any hesitations. Call once more and ask to be transferred right away. They'll ask you to confirm identity as usual, but should transfer you quickly. I called last week, not sure if they will tell you a lot more, unless your case was processed and they forgot/or didnt update sites. My post is somewhere 5pages back about that.
They wait is crushing me. Tonight i woke up maybe 4 times thinking my phone went off with the case app notification, it was all a dream. Then i had a dream that we got an RFE. I seriously have a problem lol
Sit tight, @BananaButton5, we're all in this together and you got our support! Stay strong, it's coming. It's sitting on officers desk, promise.

Best Wishes,
P

Yeah, she was very determined not to transfer me.  I like the tactic of saying my transfer to tier 2 was dropped, lol. I called like 30 minutes after they opened, which I heard gives a good chance of being transferred, but apparently not lol. When I check all the case numbers around mine on the website it looks like only 2 out of 30 have been touched and updated.  It makes me imagine a USCIS worker with all our cases in a box on their desk while they're sleeping on them lol. Well anyway, I used to be a government employee so I have some empathy.

Thanks for the support! I feel a bit crazy too! Definitely losing sleep. I'm training for a half marathon and reading some books right now, so I've just decided to try to think about it as little as possible now. I unsubscribed to VJ email notifications and un-bookmarked the websites on my computer so I stop checking at work lol. We just have to carry on!

Hello everyone!

We sent the petition March 19, 2018 and received the NOA1 electronically 2 days after. We received it by mail April 3. We’re waiting for the NOA2 hopefully by the end of this month or first week of October. I’ve seen Marchies who received NOA2 already  so I’m hoping and praying we’re next on the list. We can do this!!! I hope everyone gets approved!

I believe the notice date is when they send out to notify you

your NOA 1 is March 27....that’s the date they input in system

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1
