Hey congrats, what time did you call and for how long did you have to wait for them to answer the phone? did you use the regular number which is the 1800-375-5283? and did you press any other number?

Thankyou!! I called like around 12-30pm.. and I didn’t have to wait nothing. Yes, used the regular number only.

Quick question about "Affidavit of Support". On page 4 question 38.

Do I need to check the "intend" box? or No

In the new revised I-134 form dated 2018 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

You will do this:

3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"

I keep telling myself I'm not anxious but as soon as I was seeing people in the second half of March getting approved my brain was like "oh no, this is our biggest fear, we're getting left behind!" Anyway, I promised myself I wouldn't call until day 220 and I'm just now coming up on 200, so I'll keep waiting for now!

No one gets left behind. Just continue :clock:.

Hi All!

Been shadowing whole past two weeks. How's everyone?

Glad to see so many approvals! Some are really really close to my date, fingers crossed.
It's been so nerve wrecking past week, intertwined with excitement.

Got a couple questions. I'm getting stuff ready for Affidavit of Support. Got a letter from my employer, same thing for cosponsor (JUST IN CASE). Now, as far as i understand cosponsor basically does the same thing as i do? Yes Fill out the same form, W2, Tax return, bank statement, employer letter, correct? Yes

And for bank statement.. Do i have to actually go to the bank and ask them for something like my account history, or whole year bank statement or summary is sufficient enough to them where it would show my 2017- to date income and expenses? Just print of your bank statements from your online account

What else i can get ready for my Fiance? As i want to send everything over as soon as i get NOA2 (assuming i will get approved). Got employer letter, W2 copy, Tax return copy for past 2 years.
Anything else, that i should get ready ahead of time? I just realized i haven't done the copies of original forms that i sent to USCIS... Not needed for the interview but she may want to "study" the 129f form to get to know you) (I know stupid of me). Should i fill out the form again and send it along with other stuff to my Fiancé? She only needs 8-12 pictures. Paste up 4 to a page in word and print. (most of the stuff, pictures, letter of intent, cover letter etc i have in my email as i use it to save, in case something like this happens..) Or i shouldn't worry and just send over the Affidavit of support, supporting paperwork, another letter of intent Not needed, and that should be good enough?

Thank You!

For financials this is all you need.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

There really isn't much out there for your Embassy and interview. I did find this link. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html

Hi everybody

there was an error on the date of birth of my fiance and i requested a correction back in march just a week after i recieved the NOA1 letter.

Today i recieved a message stating that the date of birth has been corrected but at the same time they letting me know that they have initiate a background check for both of us. Do you have an idea of how long it can take? is this a compulsory step or just a bad luck?

Basically it's a form letter. They started the background checks long ago. Please don't post any item that contains personal information like Receipt Numbers.

It is age related as to when you lived in the Phils for needing the CENOMAR

A CENOMAR is also required for a petitioner who was born in the Philippines and lived in the country for at least one (1) year upon reaching the age of 18.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/family-based-immigration/the-interview/

I hope this helps.

Okay, I guess I'm still a Little confused since I am the petioner, I have lived in the Philippines multiple times for more than a year since turning 18 and I was born there too. But! My fiance got me a CENOMAR when he went too get one for himself yesterday. So I feel better now.  Better safe than sorry! Lol. Thank you for responding to me @Greenbaum. You really are treasure to this forum.
