Hello guys! Please advise:)

My fiancé called the USCIS  today. They said that did background check and everything is in the process. How long do you think this process can take ?

Noa1 old site: 28 of February

        new site:  3 of March

Don’t worry much you are still within processing time...😌

Hello, guys! I've been a lurker since January but now I'd like to share something with you. I've been complaining to my fiance nonstop since last month because of the wait and I always tell him that I think it's unfair because he wasn't stressing out as much as I did (I'm the beneficiary). You see, I already resigned and was unemployed since August 28. He would only tell me, "Just wait. It will come."

Last Sunday, I went to church and the message was all about faith in waiting. Just like the Chinese Bamboo Tree. Once you plant it, you would only see a bamboo shoot in a year and it stays that way for 5 years. But the bamboo farmers don't complain because it will eventually grow at a rate of 90 feet in six weeks. You see, its roots grow underground in those first 5 years. We just can't see it yet. And beginning that Sunday, I was calm and happier. I didn't check VJ as much and I only prayed and kept myself busy.

And voila, just this morning here in the PH, my fiance got a text from USCIS (around 9pm NY time) that an action has been taken on our case. I was shaking as I checked the old site. And OMG! WE JUST GOT APPROVED! 13 has always been lucky to me. No update on the new site, though.

NOA1 (old site): February 28

NOA1 (new site): March 3

NOA2: September 13

So for those who are still waiting, hang in there. We won't realize the value of the blessing if there was no waiting. All this waiting makes us stronger as a couple. We just have to look at the bigger picture. I just can't wait until I get to hug my love!

Wohoo!!

NOA1 on old website: March 2nd

NOA1 on new website: March 1st (the difference in dates does not seem to correlate well with other cases - looks like the date for NOA1s on the new website is most often a few days later than on the old one. Dunno why it's not like that for us).

NOA2 on old website: September 14th

On the new website the status is not updated.

I was really quite worried that we'd get an RFE so it feels great to see a direct approval! Hope everyone else who is waiting with similar NOA1s will get their approval soon!

Congratulations to you both... ❤️❤️❤️

I have made almost 7 times over the minimum income requirement for this year. Im wanting to take the rest of the year off which I usually do at this time. Will not having a job but showing plenty of income cause my fiancee to be denied at embassy interview ?

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

If ur w2 shows what it needs to u should be ok. But, I'm not positive. Search vj or google and see what u can find.

If you can’t , getting a co-sponsor can also be an option for you.

He has the income. His point is he takes 4 to 5 months off a year. Needs to see if that's a issue with uscis.
