Hey guys, so We’re here now, We thought We were feb filers 02/26 like how we saw everywhere else (apps + website) but we just got told today we are 03/01 when my fiancée rang. So fingers crossed for all March filers.

good to see that I'm not the only one being very impatient! But we are getting closer and closer to NOA2 every day 😉

I try to stay positive!
So NOA1 is March 7th  and today we got the E-Mail below. 

Does anyone know what it means or has anyone gotten a mail like that before?

So it’s quite funny hey that some of yous are getting this email. We haven’t had anything till date.

Apparently someone said in Feb filers that they are doing the background check @BJ & Christine not sure if it was you? Could be wrong lol

Yes that was me. 

 

Its a standard email letting u know they have touched the case. And are still working on it.

I hope not getting the email doesn't mean they haven't touched it  I updated my address with USCIS months ago and never got anything confirming they did it. I remember seeing another poster saying they got this email after updating their address. I see other posters seeing they get this email every month. I've never gotten any kind of email from USCIS, though I did sign up for email/text notifications.

A lot of people that get emails have there account setup to receive notifications every 2 weeks. Also, I believe if account has not been logged into for a period of time it sends a email stating they r still reviewing ur case.

i received the still reviewing case at 7:10 am today. At 8:30 am today got text and email that uscis sent out a rfe.

I just went to my settings on the website to make sure I was signed up for email/text notifications and I see a box where it says "inactivity emails turned on", so I think you're right, people get the email if they haven't logged in for a period of time, that makes sense.  It could also be when the case gets touched too, which is what is sounds like in your case. Congrats on almost reaching the end, I've seen your posts and have been quietly rooting for you.

well ok, sounds like it can mean anything... 

I log into the website almost every day, so I guess that's not the case. 

And no RFE so far.

But I hope we will find out very soon 😉

No it actually doesn’t. Was just giving myself as a example. Can’t base urself off others. All it will do is disappoint u when someone with ur date is approved and later. Yet u may be stuck waiting a bit longer.

dont feel bad, ive never gotten anything either, and I've double and triple checked the settings to make sure they were correct. oh well. lol

I've signed up for notifications on both old and new sites.  I have never received any messages/notifications.  Doesn't mean they are not working your case.
