Hello Marchies 😃

anybody here with the petitioner being in the military, active duty? Is there anything diffrent for us?

Hey!
Unfortunately if You aren't getting deployed or something like that, there isn't really anything different for You guys. My fiance's friend is going to begin the whole journey and they were bragging that he's is military/navy or something like that, and he's gonna get expedited case, on top of that she's pregnant, therefore they will get their case expedited. They kept talking like that, and always included "Lawyer told us". Well that was what fiance was forwarding to me. Now, me as having experience somewhat, and going thru these forums, i had to tell them that their case won't get expedited, and pregnancy won't help with the case in any way. I had to take so much ####### for saying that like (You are not a lawyer, how do you know?, we will get it faster than you guys) so i just left it at that. Guess what i heard yesterday? That they are thinking of breaking up because they cannot handle the distance and their lawyer said that their case has no grounds to be expedited (OH REALLY?!).

So i'm starting to appreciate our relationship a lot more, since we spent almost 4years going back and forth every 4-6months.
Fiance meanwhile got her shots done ahead of time, going to notary to get her birth cert translated, and we'll wait for NOA2 to get going with other stuff.

Best,
P

I feel ya pain.. This whole long distance thing wrecked, what was left of my mental health to pieces (not that it was something wrong or abusive in relationship). It's been weird, tough, confusing and hard past 5-6years, so im looking forward now to better times.

Yeah, well, my fiance likes to drag out stuff till last second, but i keep pushing her to get at least some of it done before anything starts moving. Police cert isn't time sensitive, is it? If not, then i'll push her to get that done as well.. Hope i got enough proof as well.. Sent her passport stamps copies (pages of her passport), i think 8 pictures, of us alone, with family (hers and mine), friends and wrote dates etc. Gave long intro to our relationship and how we met, all flight booking pages with names that match up with passport stamps, nothing really much more i could've included. Apart from cover page, intent to marry, pics, explanation, copy of my naturalization. Hopefully im good. As my parents said "there is no reason for them not to approve you guys". I guess they see obvious relationships, as she has multiple entries with my address on the form (they questioned her last 2 trips, more than 2hrs each time, as they said that out of 12months, she was here for 6 and it looks like she lives here. But were nice enough to advise not to stay longer than 2-3 weeks next time, even though they know that we are engaged, and she obviously doesn't work, but has what to do while im working (gym, groceries, malls, friends)). Kinda gave a backstory of my relationship there unintentionally.

she doesn't (as far as i know lol).
Yeah, im the same way. I'd rather get everything done NOW, and wait, than wait till last second and then run and go crazy. Can't handle this.
You should be good though. Especially if You lived together in DE together. on the other, we got introduced by mutual friend (that i've known since childhood) and then everything quickly took of once i visited first time, from then it was constant visiting, she came here more often though because of my work. She has tons of pictures, brochures, i have boarding passes laying around somewhere, but i didn't feel like it's a solid proof, especially when they see all the info on their screen where she stayed, and what she said to Border Patrol. So i don't think we have to be worried, as opposed to people who saw each other once in 2 years, for a week, living separately in hotels. We have solid foundations for approval in my mind, but still stuff can happen and im not 100% on anything whats coming up.
Yeah, hopefully no RFE, though i think i might get one, as they might want to see my passport (though i sent a copy of my naturalization papers). I have stable job that is above 125%, in worst case i'll have an extra person to do affidavit of support, but i should be good on my own. No mortgages, no credits, no debts, nothing, so i got that part covered as well. Oh well.. We'll see when time comes. I'm bored most of the time, so if someone wants to chit chat more instead of flooding this forum, always welcome to do so in DM's! I love talking to people, especially with similar interests!

Best,
P.

Haha. TORTURE! Yet exciting. 😄  I'm like checking processing times every day. It feels so close but so far away. It's so hard for me because I live alone without a social life. Haha. My fiance is the social butterfly so he has plenty of friends to keep him occupied. Me, not so much other than when my kiddos come over every other weekend. Ugh!

For us it feels exciting!!! It sort of feels like this....All my roller-coaster riders can relate... Remember the feeling of waiting in that really long curvy line? The bends and turn seemed like they went on forever. But when you see those "stairs" you start to get really excited because you know you are soooo close.....that's the feeling we have.

We are so close. It been a long time waiting. The best advice we can give is keep busy. The harder you think about it the longer it will feel. Thank God (& Apple) for FaceTime......😍

At the interview.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks
