It’s best to have a new letter of intent to marry for interview. Wheather it’s a new one or same one just signed and dated closer to interview date.

Thank you :)

Hi guys,

Could I ask why people are already calling USCIS? Isnt it better to wait until at least 190 or more than 200 days?

There are some November Filers still waiting, so I think we should not already panic ;) I think its good to keep the hotline free for people really in need :)

I totally agree with you! We just need to have patience and atleast wait until the 200 days before we contact them. It doesnt really do us much good calling before anyway.

We just making sure thing are on the right path . 🙂

Hey everybody! I’m new to the forum :) I have a question for all of you.

I filed for a fiancé visa and I am living abroad with my fiancée. We have a US mailing address but it is a friends house and we obviously aren’t there. I am in China. The problem is that I just moved to a new flat here in Shenzhen. And I already filed for the fiancé visa at the end of March. I tried to change my address online but they only allow you to change a US address. I don’t want to do that, because my friends house is fine for anything that can be mailed. I am really worried about any information from the embassy being mailed to my old apartment. I sent in the paper change of address form about a month ago and there hasn’t been any confirmation. I sent uscis a request for information but it was automated and didn’t mention anything about the COA. I am still waiting on my NOA2 and the date is getting closer. I tried calling but it doesn’t work. What should I do?

Having a trusted friend to receive your mail is ok. I wouldn't do anything more about the address. The address that makes difference is for the beneficiary because they will get the visa when approved.

Most correspondents can be verified on line with status updates at CEAC or here https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov .

Other correspondence may be sent via email so be sure that is up todate.

Yes you can call anytime you get the whim to call. But, it is a worthless call if you are still within processing times. You're not going to move your case along any faster by calling.  The website will update the same time as you hear from your phone call. By tying up the phone lines prevents others with more important business with USCIS from getting through reasonably. But like I said your free to call.

If you feel like calling, call! :) If it makes it easier for you then do it. You have my blessing ❤️
I don't mind if you are the one who is tying the line up when I call (Doubt that would happen anyhow!).
I am fortunate enough to see my fiance every couple of months. It is hard even with this much in-person contact.
Hey, I may call too, just because I feel like it !

So often I read bickering on this forum. I also see pretty crass attitudes and rough support. It makes me feel bad that so many of us cannot open our just a bit wider to support others going through the same thing as us. I mean really support others.
I get it, it BLEEPING SUCKS! This WHOLE THING SUCKS!!!!! I went three months without seeing my fiance and it drove me mad. MAD! I get it.... so many of us are sad about this. Sad and frustrated as all H _ E _ L _ L ! But still, if calling makes someone feel better and more in control then just leave them be.

Hey guys when am I sending my fiancé the affidavit of support letter and tax info ? Does it require a wet signature as well ?

"A signature is valid even if the original signature is later photocopied, scanned, faxed, or similarly reproduced. Regardless of how it is transmitted to USCIS, the copy must be of an original document containing a handwritten, ink signature, unless regulations or the form instructions state otherwise. USCIS will not accept signatures created by a typewriter, word processor, stamp, auto-pen, or similar device."

Happy Monday, everyone! August is already almost halfway over! Can you guys believe it?

It's been 7 months since I last saw my fiance but I'll be flying out there again to see him in a couple of weeks. And soon after that I hope to hear of an approval! We're sooooo close! :clock:

P.S. Every other thread does this, but did we ever decide on a group name for our month? Are we the Marchies or Marchers or something? :jest:

Yea it's been since April for me.  I'm coming back at the end of Oct.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I can be over there when she gets the medical and interview....   we'll see.  I so love it over there.  This will be my 4th trip.. 😉

Awesome! How long will you be over there and which part of the country is your fiance from?
