Just a heads up for everyone.. my lawyer recently let me know that they have changed things so we are able to submit documents online throughout the rest of the process. This means we probably will not have to be mailing documents back and forth to each other. We should be able to upload it and submit it to them. Of course hard copies I'm sure are needed in the end of everything with the actual interview but it sounds like we won't need to worry about that beforehand if I am understanding things correctly. Also, not sure who you are referring to when getting the signature but the only person that should have to fill out those documents is the US citizen.

Hi everyone!

How's everyone doing?

I was going thru this thread when i remembered that there was a guy who posted stats once in a while about the approvals, exclusions etc, it would be interesting to see something like that now, as we are inching closer to the september, and potential month of most of Marchies getting approved.
Is there any other ways to check current stats for each month ?

Best,
P.

Unfortunately since USCIS is migrating to the new site, the data in the old site is increasingly unreliable and missing out on a lot of acceptances. And since it is impossible to scrape data from the new site using the same tool as they used for the old site, we are unfortunately in the dark now.

Hmmm, not sure about that. Until USCIS or NVC "officially" comes out with information supporting the process of submitting information online I can't believe it yet. Definitely. But does the foreign fiancee need to sign the affadivit of support?  And I am not preparing any documents anyway until this part goes through and gets approved so I will then know if the paperwork can be submitted online or not at that time.

If there is a place for the beneficiary to sign, then yes.

while I am not positive, I DOUBT there IS a spot for them to sign, since it is the PETITIONER who is affirming to the affidavit of support. It is based on the petitioner's finances, not the beneficiaries.

Right, but people keep mentioning in the forum about sending the affadivit to have the fiancee sign it. And I didn't believe there is even a place for them to sign or a reason for them to have to sign it.

i just looked at the I 134. only the sponsor (petitioner) signs it. They would have to send it to the beneficiary so they can take it to the interview, along with all the other original documents....

It does not require a wet signature. See below. (-->)

Not necessary. They only require a "dry" signature. See below (-->)

I am very suspect that anything has gone to online submittal. For me, I would like to have an official announcement. Can your lawyer site the source of his information?

*(-->)  No this is wrong information. Here is what USCIS says:

"A signature is valid even if the original signature is later photocopied, scanned, faxed, or similarly reproduced. Regardless of how it is transmitted to USCIS, the copy must be of an original document containing a handwritten, ink signature, unless regulations or the form instructions state otherwise. USCIS will not accept signatures created by a typewriter, word processor, stamp, auto-pen, or similar device."

The required signature is only from the petitioner as it is his/her assets that are in question and requires documentation of his/her ability to support his/her beneficiary.

It's not a requirement for the beneficiary to sign the I-134.

The intent to marry letter is only required if asked for within the Embassy's P3 requirements. If it's not on the P3 then do what do will do, so do nothing.

Absolutely correct!

Don't overthink or over do this process. Remember you are only in front of the CO for 5-10 min. Then it's over!
