Hi guys,

So we received an SMS on March 26th to confirm USCIS received our I-129F, however, we didn't receive a NOA1 in the mail. My fiancé called USCIS a few weeks later and they said the SMS is the NOA1. Has anyone else had a similar experience with the NOA1? Thanks!

It happened the same to us. We received the SMS and the email, but didn't get in the mail. We called and they said the same to us, that the SMS is the actual NOA1. Since we wanted the letter also, we insisted and they mailed a new one in a week.

Hi! This thread needs some positivity!

I am very happy that I get to spend 5 weeks with my honey this summer. I'm leaving for Istanbul on 06/25 and coming home on 07/31. Is anyone else traveling with their fiance this summer? Going to see him or her?

I am staying positive that the slightly lower number of petitions during the winter months will help us out and that maybe our timelines will be accurate :D

We shouldn't mind an RFE.... it's a good thing really. So bring them on!

Much love <3

I'm going to Brazil to see her in August for a week. I wish it could be for longer but only so much time off and kids to get back to.

Hope you enjoy your 5 weeks stay with yours. Sounds very nice.

Agreed!

I just came back from Europe visiting my Fiance and family! Spent there less than 2 weeks, due to work. But we are planning that she'll come to visit in august for 3-4weeks or so, at most till first week of Sept.
Got my first tattoo in meantime, and continuing to play/learn guitar! Trying to keep myself busy.

RFE or not, i just want to get approved, and since we've been together 3years, with tons of visits, i'm really not that worried.

Good luck!

You shouldn't be worried at all :) You will get approved - no reason not too!

I've been tinkering with the bass guitar for a little while now. When time allows for it. And trying to make myself do it at other times. I really enjoy it though. And it does help to distract some.

My love is in town and we did an engagement photo shoot this weekend (in 100 degree weather ), have to post one here because we aren't putting them online until tonight and I'm eager to share! He's been here two weeks and it's been so amazing. My birthday is Thursday and then he leaves on Friday, we're both trying not to think too hard about him leaving. We will see each other again in three weeks so it's a little bit easier. But then after that we won't see each other again until visa is approved and we move him here from Canada.

Is it just me or have they significantly slowed down processing over the last month?

This is the question of the hour man
I'll say this- processing time fluctuates so much it's really kinda like a luck of the draw type of thing

Just to give a perspective:
Those that applied May/June of 2017 got mad screwed-- processing times CRAWLED and many got NOA2 around the 220+ mark

Then our July/August folks got in around the 200+ mark (that's me!!! :D)
Sept/Oct came in around 180+
And now It seems Nov/Dec might come in at 200?

Keep in mind these are averages. So there's always gonna be those lucky peeps with 170 approval and the crazy 260+ on each month.
Stay calm. No matter what- y'alls' approvals are coming. Wishing y'all hear by mid to end September.

Yeah it's been making me worried, especially since our month has a lot more filers compared to previous months.

I'm hoping that these are just hiccups with USCIS having had to switch to a new case tracking system, and that there are actually more approvals that they just hadn't been consistently updating or tracking.

Well, seems we're going backwards now! I'm positive the CSC I-129F yesterday was November 18 and today it's November 17. http://www.visajourney.com/content/times/  😅

Mine too :( so disheartening after watching it slowly crawl forward for so long. I think a lot of it has to do with the new system having more silent NOA2s.

Isn't the timelines and estimates here based on data VisaJourney members add to their own timelines?
