Congratulations!!! Did you have the option of having the interview in Finnish? Im going through the Helsinki embassy also

Two things to be aware of. They will offer you a translator but if you choose to use one don't be surprised when the CO ask you somewhere in the interview how you and your fiancree will communicate. Don't let this bite you.

So I speak fluent English and Russian, my fiancé speaks fluent Russian and Finnish, and a little bit of English of course. Hence we mostly communicate in Russian. However her interview will be in Finland because that's where she resides.

Then if the question comes up you'll have your answer. Sorry I didn't have all that information or I may not attempted to help.

Thank you! As far as I know, it can be either in English or Finnish, since the instructions paper says that if you don't speak either of the two, you can have an interpreter accompany you. But mine was in English and I didn't ask to have it in Finnish so I'm not 100% sure how it works.

Edit: The paper also says that you have to contact them to let them know the interpreter's information so I'm guessing they won't be providing you one, but I'd ask them to be sure if you need one.

Thank You! Also, did you do your medical as soon as you had the NVC case number or did you wait until your packet 3 arrived?

Thanks

Make sure there is enough days between your medical exam to your interview. Typically it should be at least 10 days between which is required. I would definitely look into that and make sure you do it with the timeline they set or that may affect your approval. And sometimes the medical results are mailed to the embassy and take a while to get there. Just please look into it and be careful. You don't want something like that holding you up or be reason for denial. And as far as I know what we need atleast for Ethiopia is the confirmation of our scheduled interview date is what the doctor needs. I would call the medical examiner and possibly ask if that's what you need or what they usually need from the embassy. They can usually answer all those questions since they work with many of these cases.

Finally received an email with packet 3 and 4 I believe this week. We paid the visa fee so we could schedule the interview. However it says that there is not an appointment available when we sign in. So he called the embassy in Ethiopia and they said theres not anything available at this time and to keep looking online. But we probably won't see anything until mid December. A bit frustrated. But all in God's timing. Im a bit surprised they don't have some sort of calendar I can pick a future date.

That's great news. Now you can start to take control of how fast you want to move to the issuance of the visa.

I try and share P3 letters with others that come behind you and I do not have a P3 letter for your Embassy-Finland. Would you be willing to send me a copy using the PM here on VJ? Thanks.

check in the following links especially the P3 link. Also, keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.
