Yay! Congrats!

CONGRATULATIONS! Happy for you and your future husband and I'll most certainly be thinking of you on Election night! And @Knome same to you as well! It gives me hope that being on the same time line as both of you (NOA 1 3/14, RFE sent 10/12), our approval is coming soon. Praying so anyway. This process is the governmental equivalent of sitting on a cactus...and then staying there for 8 months, but an end is in sight!

Yay! I received an email from NVC that my petition is  in transit going to manila US embassy last October 30, but since it’s souls day here in Philippines and it’s an important tradition to visit our passed love ones in the grave, and it’s holiday, hopefully on Monday I can start setting my appointments hehhehe😁

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Once you receive your case number and your case has been set to READY at CEAC it's time to be in charge of what time you choose when things get done. To smooth that trail for you I have a few things that will help you process your visa there in the Philippines.

You'll need your Eligibility Letter, which is emailed from USEM. Here is an example of what it looks like http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/embassy-letter.html

Start by visiting Hanks site where he has taken the time and research, and of course, it helps if you spent 8 plus years helping folks in the Philippines sub-forum get their visas, where he has listed each step. With those steps, he includes the what, when and why to complete the item. Many have used the website and have had little or NO problems securing a visa from USEM.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

Next, you'll want to connect with those who are processing through the Philippines in the VJ Philippines sub-forum that way you will be with like-minded ppl who are sharing their experiences and also asking and answering questions. Since most in this thread is processing through another country they would be hard-pressed to explain what is needed for the Philippines.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You'll find this on Hank's website but I will give it to you early and that is the Packet 3 Letter for USEM. It's found here:

https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Here is the Packet 3 letter.

https://ph.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/82/2016/08/K1-and-K2-Applicant-Interview-Preparation-Instructions-08112016-English-336KB.pdf

There you have it. Everything you need to get your visa. Good luck and smooth sailing.

Yes it’s the new, because I watched some videos in YouTube about the K1 Visa process experienced that they need the NVC letter or the case status is already READY for paying the visa fee ,specially here in Philippines.

If you received the NVC letter through mail or email, do a photocopies because they will get that copies for paying the visa    and also for medical and just in case,

And if your case status is already READY you can print out that too if you can’t wait for your hard copy of NVC or through email. That’s what I watched and asked the K1 Visa processer experienced.

As a K-1 (Philippines) you don't need the NVC letter to pay the visa fee at BPI.   Also it is not required to have a copy of the NVC letter to complete the medical at SLEC either, SLEC does ask for a copy of your interview confirmation page.   A copy of the CEAC status page always makes SLEC happy also .. but it is not required.

I received a message yesterday letting me know my case had been updated - my RFE response has been received!

And then I received about 40 other messages saying that my case had been updated..at first, I was thinking "they already approved us ?!?!" but after checking the first couple of times, it became evident that this is some sort of glitch. Dang it. :P

Had the same, received the "we took action on your case" mail, my heart made a jump... but it was just the mail that they received our response, which was already updated on the website the day before.
