Hey guys we got an RFE 😕 The new website said that it was mailed on October 2nd, but the website was updated at about 4 AM. How long does it take for them to mail it? I’m desperate to see what they need 😫

3 to 5 days in average.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Thank you @BJ & Christine I just joined here a few weeks ago so I was not fully aware of what we needed to gather, we have been so focused on getting the NOA2. Although, I am sure that I need to get my AOS and our application/birth certificates/paperwork etc ready for the interview and medical exam. I am going through the other threads now that you sent :)

Yup, head over to the NVC thread for your month! It'll be approximately two weeks before NVC receives your petition from USCIS, so it'll be some more waiting but nothing as brutal as this first one. So like BJ said, get started on the other things that you need! Financial documents for the I-134, birth certificates, police clearances, divorce decrees (if applicable), etc! These are the things that take the most time so get a head start!

Most of what happens on the NVC thread is you try to get your case number and then, once you have it, track your case as it gets processed and then sent to your embassy. This gives you an idea of when to schedule your interview and medical so that everything goes smoothly.

Hope that helps!
