The Embassies use line 22 of the 1040 tax for determination if the applicant meets or exceeds the poverty threshold for their household. The Embassy, at time of interview, will accept a IRS transcript from you and you can get one from here You can down load same day and print off. This service is FREE.

@BJ & Christine who answered you question helps a lot of people, and sometimes when we help so many it's sometimes appears to us that the answer is obvious and at other times we will give you the "facts" straight up without fluff. We ask you to just understand the amount of people someone like she is actually answering before you become annoyed. I'm just saying. All around that will help. Thanks.

Thanks @Greenbaum - the comment came across a little flippant that's all. But I see what you're saying and of course always appreciate the member/community help and advice. :)

Confused on DS-160. So, since I'm pregnant and the baby will arrive before I go to the US and she will be a US citizen with a US passport, I don't know how to answer this question. If I say Yes and then say child, will I get a decline? OR, since daddy to-be will be also coming to the UK to 'pick us up' I thought the baby can enter the US with him and no in the line with me. Could anyone give me any advice or pointers on how best to answer this question please? Thank you :)

Under the "child" area of the DS-160 you can enter the "baby" situation this way. Pregnant expected due date is MM/DD/YYYY. The child will travel under their US passport and can travel with either of you or with both of you. If the child is born before the interview then take the child's BC (w a copy of BC and BIO page from PP for CO to keep if needed) and passport to the interview. The child does not have to be there as they do not need a visa and is not on your paperwork as a K-2 because of being a USC. At your interview you will divulge to the CO about the child and they will make the necessary changes to your DS-160 and any other paperwork.

Medical complete and interview scheduled November 15 and CFO scheduled November 19, then hopefully here by the 21st or 22nd !

Congrats!  How exciting! I see your timeline says that you received NOA2 Sept 29th. Then when did you receive your # from the NVC.. and did you have to call them to get this? I received my NOA2 on Oct 9. But have not heard from anyone since. My lawyer emailed the NVC last week. Wondered what to expect with my timeline potentially.

You Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 to get a case number. Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.

When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

You don't need a lawyer for this part. Call NVC and ask for your case number and go to the ceac site and it will let you know the status. Thats what I did.

Thank you! And yeah I know I don't need a lawyer. I already hired one though and paid him for the entire process. So he helps me where he can. But I think I'll just call there :)

We've also been waiting from NVC after we received our notice dated 10/17 and by looking at the timelines, everyone who received their NOA2 mid-October is still waiting.  Looks like they are just batching everything up to send, hopefully, this week.

The batch is going out this week on T/W if they follow the same schedule in the prior 3 months.

Do you have everything you need and now what the next steps are once your file lands at USEM? If no, here you go:

Okay that's good to know I'm not alone! I just kept seeing people post that it was around two weeks they found out more about their case. But also seems like people aren't waiting for mail notification but calling.
