Oh wow thats great for you guys! When i tried to visit my first time in america before filing they asked me loads of questions in a seperate room and i had to provide all of my proof of returns and stuff! And then my second time trying to visit for the holidays before filing, they did the same but actually denied me because i didnt have a job at the time and he said i didnt have any real reason to return to the uk ( even though i had a return ticket and my family is here ) and he denied me and i lost about £500 (i didn't even use the flight to america, just took a flight to dublin as my layover and they had american preclearance there and thats where i got denied! So i had to pay for the return flights i never used 😭 ) thanks for replying though!

Me in similiar position, I got denied a new tourist visa in April (cant use Visa waiver), due to having spent 2-month periods in US.  That denial is what triggered us to go ahead and do the K1.   Since April I don't have any permission to visit so we have met in Canada and Ireland.

first met late 2016, met 13 more times since. Filed i-129 Apr 14th. NOA2 dated Oct 11th.

Hi everyone! I’ve been a silent lurker and my NOA1 is March 26 so still got waiting to do. I have a question about when my fiancée is going to be able to work in the States. Does it really take 6 months to a year?? Does that mean her greencard won’t be in our hands for that long? I mean I don’t mind if she doesn’t work but she minds.

Question, obviously we haven't been approved yet. But I'm visiting my fiancé in a week and a half. My question is can I go ahead and take everything he'd need for the interview? How "pre-dated" is allowed for it to be valid? I.e., if I bring a dated original letter of continued support of the letter, a letter from my employer with my income et al (I work remote and happened to be at headquarters this week so had my HR guy give me one so it's dated for this week), I-134, etc. Does it matter if they are dated before the NOA2 if it's within reason? Of course, if it happens that we are not approved for a long time, heaven forbid!, I'll mail new records or bring them if I happen to visit again. Our NOA1 is march 7th on the old site, 9th on new site.

After filing for Adjustment of status I believe green card in hand can take up to 2 years. Don't quote me but I remember reading that somewhere. It's still a waiting game ... The 6 months to s year sounds about right. Of course depends on how backed up the processing time is.

It's not all clear once your get the K1. There is still a lot of paper work and waiting. But look on the bright side at least you'll be together while waiting.

The EAD card comes about 3-4 months after applying. This will give her the authority to work. The GC will be 9-12 months sometimes longer.

My fiancé visited a little over a week ago and I sent her back with most everything. Didn't date anything as she can do that. A few things I didn't send her as I can email them to her so she can just print them off.

Hello all,

I am a December,2017 filer.

And after 265 days OUR CASE GOT APPROVED

As per USCIS old website.

NOA1 (Old Website): December 26,2017

NOA1 (New Website): December 29,2017

NOA2 : September 14,2018

Both websites have been updated now.

Received the physical letter yesterday.

Just keep patience and wait. All approvals shall come. I know from experience it's very painful to wait but just keep going.

Thank you so much this testimony,  you just rekindled my faith cos I already lost faith in this processing. I am march 1 noa1. I believe my approval will come soon.

lol, why no faith? You are still within the normal processing time (5-7 months). @Oluwasegun was 100 days away from a 1 year wait.

Can't base your approval on others getting approved who may have the same NOA1 date. Some take longer than others. Some get lucky and get approval right at the 6 month mark or sooner. Others not so much. But either way gotta stay busy and faithful.
