Hi,

I'm a little concerned about our evidence ( or lack of) when we file the visa application we will have met 6 times and have photo, travel evidence of but.... even though we talk for hours every day via line app text chat and video calls line doesn't do a call log just a chat log and we play in an online game together which is how we met but not sure if we can evidence that. My actual phone calls to the us are minimal cos we use line app.

We've not got any postal evidence either, normally send gifts from amazon.  line only shows calls for 1 day at a time and didn't think to take screenshots of that until now.

So is it ok to send edited chat log extracts ( ie blanking out " sensitive info " you get the drift ;) )

would a letter from my son stating i'm always on calls to Chayne help? Or one from my sister saying she's met him?

any advice greatly appreciated.

Amanda

if you have intentions to marry have you ever thought about doing a CR1 visa? 1. it cost less 2. your spouse will be able to work the moment they get into the USA 3. over all the CR1 is the more superior visa

with the K1 and the CR1 they are taking about the same amount of time for completion.

I didn't have much evidence of marriage when I filed mine, I had the marriage certificate from overseas, letters from family and friends and pictures. I have also sent in my own letter explaining relationship.

I have not had to worry about sending in chat logs or anything like that.

Its not an option as my partner is the US resident and he has small children and due to his job the majority of the visits are mine to the us.

so letters from family and friends are a good idea to support our K1 application?

affidavits are always good, some say that the don't hold much weight, but as far as meeting provide the travel itinerary, if you have meet your fiances parents that would be good. do you have pictures with the family? do you know if your fiance has added you to any of the house bills? like the electric bill, or the water bill? not that will prove much but it will show intentions of your living together.

you both have to write a letter with your intentions to marry with in the 90 day time.

Even if he could come to visit for a few days you can still get married where you are, I do understand the small children situation, but it is a thought.

I sent in about 20 pictures with my application 3-4 from each visit, and if you have pictures with the family this would also be good.

Stuff we didn't think of, I have a debit card on his bank account in his address is all so I can copy that letter, no photos exist of the meeting with his dad  or adult daughter or my sister just a couple with the kids  but I can screenshot the facebook posts that commented on our meeting and interacton with his friends/family on facebook and show our facebook friends in common list which shows I'm friends with his daughter, dad and sister I've not met yet if that would help?

digital era doesn't help evidence !!!

no it doesn't, and sometimes it isn't until after you think about it and find you need it that it didn't get done.

provide what pictures you do have, make sure he has typed up a letter with intentions, you as well, get your plane stubs your entry stamps if any into the USA, if you took trips together while you were here, get those receipts

You don't need that.

Not needed

This isn't as complicated as it's made out to be. Prove you met in person with your passport stamps, boarding passes, six photos together. Maybe one or the other made a credit card purchase or ATM withdrawal in the other's town. Chat sessions are overrated except maybe to show you can communicate in the same language. Since you are both native English speakers, your ability to communicate is likely not a concern.
