Unfortunately no, my wife just called last week and they said we need to be patient but they also said that there is a big probability we will get a date assigned by the end of November and also we can call every week to see if they already assigned a date.
So it's going to be almost 7 months after the CC.

Any luck on your interview?

On my letter that I got from Ciudad Juarez saying I’m on quoe for a interview in the category it says IR1? Is that for a 10 year visa?

Congratulations on getting the interview!  Yes that is correct you will get a 10 year visa which is IR1 category.

This process is getting longer and longer that it seems to make more economic sense for married couples to move to the border region while they wait out the process together.

I knew going into this that it was going to be a very long process.  I moved to the border region to be together with my wife. It was the best of both worlds, live in Mexico, spend in dollar and be with my wife.

I know that not everyone can do this but whoever can do it I highly recommend it.

i still don't have my interview it only says this .  The applicant is now in the queue awaiting an interview appointment overseas, where a consular officer will adjudicate the applicant’s visa application. we are still waiting :(

is your wife in mexico? do you cross everyday for work?

No our interview was 10/12/18 and we now live in Tucson,AZ.

But I am saying that anyone that decides to marry a person from Mexico should consider moving to the border to be with their spouse while they wait for the process to play out since it is so long.

I knew two other couples in Nogales that did this.  One couple waited 5 years before they decided to file and the other couple waited 1 year after marrying to file.  When I used to live in Mexico I considered waiting 1 year to file so I could skip CR1 and go for IR1.  But I was commuting too far to work every morning so I decided to apply for CR1 to get out of Nogales sooner. So glad we are here in Tucson and no longer have to commute from Nogales to Tucson every morning.

If I had worked in Nogales,AZ instead of Tucson we probably would have stayed in Mexico longer.

Oh we did it differently.  We both lived on the Mexican side (Nogales,Sonora) and I commuted daily to work in South Tucson,Arizona.  Now we are both in Tucson :)

So what state does you husband live in?  And what Mexican state you live in?   I encourage everyone to move in together at the border it makes the wait so much easier.
