One quick question.

Are you gonna fill out the form I-693 by a civil surgeon? I'm so confused about this form. I'm not sure which one we need to provide? DS-3025 or I-693?

No, I had a doctor check and the form filed by a doctor in my country when I filed for K1 and already submitted my vaccine form with the AoS packet. I know the medical is only valid for a year, although I know couples that weren’t asked to re submit it even when it already expired so I am not planning to give myself another vaccines unless they will ask for it, especially that the visit is quite expensive.

Congrats! I have my interview next month (assuming so as the letter hasnt arrived yet). Did you need a new medical? I've read different things online about this. We filed within one year of me having my medical before I arrived to the usa. And our interview is within one year of filing the AOS papers. So I'm guessing im.good?

Heyy, sorry for the late response as we went away for vacation. Hope this is still in time for your interview..

I didn't need to renew/redo the medical, and we filed within 1 year of me arriving to the US too. My guess is that you should be good, unless instructed otherwise on your interview letter. But please keep us posted!

Hi everybody. We are on the way home from the interview. I was approved on the spot! It was really nice and comfortable. The Officer only spoke with me and didn’t ask my husband to come. I was asked very common questions, the officer took all the paperwork that I brought like financial stuff, bills and didn’t even look at the pictures. He also didn’t really look at them carefully just told me he is approving the case and changed the status online while I was still present. It was a pleasure, my card is being produced :)

Hey it's all good. Hope you had a nice holiday. I have my interview in 12 days. 😬 I've heard they updated the medical rules. November ish 2018. But it still says k1 immigrants could be exempt. I'm hoping I dont need another one. I'll be miffed i do. Vaccination chart was ticked as "complete". Fingers crossed.

I think you can still bring your current medicals before having to redo it. Actually in my experience, the interviewing officer asked me whether I thought I'd need to redo mine, and I quoted the interview letter's instructions (lol), and she went with that. She did say after verbally approving my case that she would double check about the medicals and let us know if we'd have to do anything.

Otherwise, if you're really worried you can call the USCIS customer service number. I can't remember all the directories but somewhere in this forum there's good info as to what you dial to reach an actual person!

Fingers crossed for you!

According to the rules, I should be still okay. If I'd gotten my interview after March then I'd be more inclined to get one done before the interview as it would have been longer than a year since filing. It's very unclear still but I think I should be ok. I called uscis and he put me on hold like 5 times trying to find out the information. If they mention it I'll question it at the interview. They can only ask me to get it done again which I'm hoping they don't as it is more money. 🙄 Thank you. Fingers crossed.
