Day 137, my online status on USCIS was updated to "Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview", at the same time I received an email, in it the case status is "Testing and Interview". Does anyone know what this means?

I was advised that the time taken for them to actually get to interviewing me depends on the amount of cases before me, and that I should look at current processing times. For my local office (Norfolk, VA - I assume), they're only currently processing cases from September 2016 😱.So does the new status update mean anything? And how many days do people typically wait from the day they see this status until they actually receive the interview notice?

When getting the EAD card, has anyone not received a tracking number for it? We received notification yesterday that they had mailed it but no other info... today on my USPS informed delivery, it shows an envelope from USCIS is coming in the mail today but now I don’t know if it’s the card or not.

It may take between a month and 2 months to actually get the letter with your interview date then you wait another 3 weeks to a month. Patience is key.

Hello...

I have a question for those of you who got the update on their case: “Your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview”... Did you get an email telling you about this update or does it just show up when you log in to check on your I-485?

Thank you

Many are getting it within 3-5 days after they got their EAD card in the mail
So I say give it 1 week, 2 weeks to be sure

Thank you very much! I worried but EAD arrived to my mail box last Sunday and SSN envelope arrived today on Friday so was 5 days to after EAD.

Thank you! I just received an email update this morning from DHS (different from egov system) and it says "We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We last took action on your case on July 28, 2018." So confusing!

Hi everyone, I meant to update sooner but my new job has been crazy. I attended my AOS Interview on Aug 8. It lasted no more than 15 mins. Interviewing officer asked just basic questions. Where we met, when we started dating, etc. Questions we were prepared for by our lawyer. They do not ever tell you if you're approved, and we didn't ask. We just said thank you when the interview was over, and left.

Less than an hour later, I got a case status update-

Case approved

Card in production

Right now we're awaiting the GC in the mail. We were nervous the days leading up to the interview, but really if you have nothing to hide, and your intentions are pure, everything will be fine.
