Question! When I asked my lawyer what is my local field office, he said I have to wait until interview letter to know that. I see people here talking about that even before getting the interview letter. Please clarify.

This process is really frustrating, testing my patience. It's been 2 months of no job. Don't know how to kill my time further, already going for 2 Yoga sessions, morning and evening to keep my cool. :(

Same. Two months of no jobs.. tried to find everything to kill time. Had felt very bad everyday but now I just try to think it as a vacation or holiday and in a way, I am happy I don’t have to work for a while if I take it as a vacation. Do things I like and I didn’t have time to do before.

Maybe do some volunteer work and I do feel happy to help people and maybe know more about community here and know some new people..

Good luck! We will get our green card eventually!

Need to vent. I just feel so depressed. I know this process can take more than a year but ughhh.

we filed feb 21st, biometrics march 26th and nooooothingggg since then. So frustrating. I really want at least my EAD but it looks like its never gonna be here. 124 days since noa1!

:(

I got you!! we got the NOA on April 4 and then the biometrics and since then nothing happens. The updates on the websites do not change and I was planning to fly back to my country :( but we just need to be patient and wait for the EAD to come. best luck

Nothing new here, but everything on our case on the DHS website is now duplicated...exciting!  /s

Is that something good if it is duplicated? The same thing happened to me yesterday and I just thought there was a glitch in the system but it is still duplicated today

Two weeks today since our interview with absolutely no news at all. No update on case tracker, nothing in mail, nada! We would at least be happy if the employment authorization came, it's been almost four months waiting on that. Frustrating <_<

I'm sure it's just a glitch - I think the website may have been down yesterday.  Maybe an artifact of that.

Okay, so had my interview last week:

We got there at 8:51, went in at 9:03 and got in the waiting room at 9:07. Waited about 10 minutes (Property Brothers was on TV so we watched that), then a young man (mid twenties) called our number,  told us which room to go in to and followed behind us. Once in the room, he swore us in (I raised my left hand and didn't even realize til way after). He took my picture, and left and right index fingerprints. He explained every step as we went and then explained how the questions would be structured. He was really nice!

He first started by asking our names and dates of birth off of my I-485 application. Then he asked me yes/no questions like "Have you ever committed murder? Are you a member of any group?" Then questions about our relationship followed. He asked how we met, when we met, what our first date was like, how long we dated/courted for, when we joined the dating website we met on, who initiated what, when we got married (he was really surprised we had only been together 3 months but I think us not even reacting to that helped us. We didn't try to excuse our short dating time). No weird toothbrush color questions! One weird question I got was if I was liking North Carolina, I just didn't understand the point of that question.

Took 20 minutes and we were not given a decision or any papers, I did sign something saying all my I-485 info was correct. 5 days later got a letter saying I was approved! Online status has not been updated.
