Had our interview this AM. They asked how we met and how long we courted for. He was extremely surprised we only dated for 3 months.

He said we will receive a response within the month. Which isn't a yes...

It will be approved. they just want you to feel apprehensive and unsure. It wont even take a month. Expect the approval in 5-10 days.

Not to play the devil's advocate but approval can sometimes take a month+.  Yes, some cases get approved at the interview/shortly after but others do take up to a month+ for final approval.  We had our interview in Chicago on May 14th and we didn't get any updates until June 8th.  I realize you are trying to be positive/encouraging, which is awesome, but I also wanted to give @CatP another perspective so they are not worried if approval doesn't happen so quickly.  The approval will come and it will take whatever time it takes, just like every step in this process times vary for everyone.  I know it's hard not to worry about it, I was certainly worried when I thought we would be approved in a few days and it took almost a month.  The only advice I can offer is to be patient, check the case trackers for updates every day, and wait for the relief you will feel when the green card arrives.

I feel exactly the same. My husband wants to have a infopass but I really don’t think that would help at all.

i have a wild idea is to move to place where local office handle cases faster.. I mean it is insane to wait a year while some people get it in three months. After you get your green card you can move again, right.

I completely understand. Filed March 6, Biometrics April 9, and nothing. I'm in the same boat as you and thinking the same- how on EARTH are people expected to survive without their EADs for so long??? It's absolutely insane, but I firmly believe that this entire immigration process is only designed for the resilient.

I've cried a lot in the past three months, but after that, I gathered myself and continued sending resumes. Word of advice- go to the job interviews regardless, ace your interviews, get an offer letter, and EXPEDITE. I am supposed to have my offer letter tomorrow. Already got in touch with my congressman. I have all my other documents to furnish as proof of financial hardship to send, (late payment notices on credit card, late payment notice on HOA,) along with my offer letter. From the moment I get that offer letter in my hand I'm sending everything to Congressman's office. We are allowed to cry, we are allowed to be depressed, but we cannot crumble under this incredibly difficult system.

Also I saw your local office is Raleigh city which is very quick?! I saw many people from there had their interview less than 3 months

My wife tried to expedite EAD & AP. She got an email to fax supporting documents to 816-251-2290; but I have tried at least 10 times, it keeps failing (either busy or not receiving fax; keeps ringing). Anyone has any tips or experience with this issue?

Never, simply because we've put down roots here. Bought a house last year. My son is settled here and doing well at school. I cannot uproot him again, I've already moved him to an entirely different country.

That being said, generally I don't think its worth it. It's best to just wait it out. The time will pass anyway.

well so far it hasn't been quick in my opinion, but everyone's case is different.

Question! When I asked my lawyer what is my local field office, he said I have to wait until interview letter to know that. I see people here talking about that even before getting the interview letter. Please clarify.

This process is really frustrating, testing my patience. It's been 2 months of no job. Don't know how to kill my time further, already going for 2 Yoga sessions, morning and evening to keep my cool. :(

Find out here.  Your lawyer sounds like they don't know much...
