Geez!!!!....this looked like an interrogation!!!

It somewhat felt like it but I think she was just going over protocol but really who knows. Some people get very easy interviews. Maybe our case was more complicated than others due to a previous marriage and the fact that he has previously applied for a student visa, I don't really know! Other than that I don't think there are any red flags in our case, we're very close in age just one year apart and we showed a bunch of proof of relationship and living together, etc. I am hoping we'll get an approval notice as soon as possible.

Hey guys, just a quick question.

I had my biometrics done on 04/10, and that was the last that I heard about my case.

The case status online is still we received your case.

Should I be worried about it?

Should I call the USCIS?

Thanks

Same situation

I file on march 2nd

I did my bio on april 12th.

I had to expedite my case 2 days ago.

Hey guys! We had our AOS interview today at the Chicago Field Office. It was pretty packed there, we had our interview about an hour after our actual appointment time. We had our attorney with us as well. The immigration officer asked us just about every question you can think of. She went through every single detail/question on the form. Most, if not all the questions were directed towards him. She asked him his name and date/country of birth, she asked him for my name, my date of birth, my birth location, my daughter's name, her date of birth, where she was born. She also asked for my daughter's birth certificate to prove it is not his kid for some reason. She asked him how and when he entered the country this time around, she wanted the exact dates and airports. She then asked him for his current passport and all previous passports, thank God we brought those with us. She asked me only for my state ID or driver's license, I provided her with my driver's license. She asked him about his previous visits to the country and how he entered the country previously before coming here on the K1 visa. She also asked him about a previous student visa he applied for a couple years ago and to me it seemed like she was a bit suspicious on that. She asked him what family he had here as well. She also asked for an original of my divorce certificate since I was married once before my current marriage. She then asked if we had anything further info we wanted to provide so we gave her the typical stuff, our leases, insurance, etc. She didn't take any of our pictures and we came equipped with a huge photo album lol. After we gave her those documents she directed only two questions towards me which were to explain how we met and how many times we visited each other since we did long distance for a long time. After that she did not say anything about us being approved or denied. She gave us a paper saying the case will be held for further review. So we're kind of down because we were somewhat expecting to get approved on the spot since others here have stated that but we're staying positive since she seemed friendly at the end and cracked a couple of jokes about how we met (tinder lol..) Hopefully we'll get an approval as soon as possible. Case status online does not say anything. fingers crossed!

Heya, a Feb filer here but have been checking the others months to see how things are going for others as well.  We also went through the Chicago Field Office and had our interview in May.  We were not approved on the spot either, nor were we handed any additional papers, we just wrapped up the interview pleasantly and were shown out of our IOs office.  We had a somewhat difficult interview like yours, lots of questions about everything but overall it went well and our IO was pretty friendly and smiled a lot/cracked some jokes with us too.  I'm wondering if we had the same IO  :-)  Anyway, I wanted to let you know to not get nervous if you don't hear anything for a bit.  We had our interview on May 14th and we didn't receive any online updates until June 8th when it finally showed as approved.  I'm not sure why there was a month delay for us but just wanted to give you a heads up that you might not hear anything this week or next week or the week after and that's really okay.  Once approved, your card will go into production fairly quickly and you'll receive it soon after.  We got notification that our case was approved online on June 8th and then the Green Card was delivered on June 16th.

Hi! Wow, we may have had the same officer then! We are trying to stay positive about it and your feedback definitely helps. Hopefully we'll hear something with a month or so like you did! Congrats on getting the green card already! :D

Yeah, staying positive is the hardest part for sure!  When I saw others here get approved on the spot and have their Green Card within a week of the interview, I started to get very nervous that we had said something wrong in our interview/there was something wrong with our case/we would be called in for a second interview.  Luckily none of that happened and we were finally approved.  I think part of the delay with ours was, somehow, in their systems it showed we needed to do a I-130 which our IO mentioned and then I explained that I didn't think that was necessary since we were adjusting from a K1.  She then said that I was correct, that she didn't understand why it was showing that in her system, and she would look into that.  I'm guessing that is what caused our delay, she had to get to the bottom of that issue and may have even requested our original I-129f submission since she didn't have that at the interview, and then after getting that all sorted we were finally approved.  Thank you for the congrats on getting our card, it is certainly a relief!  I hope you will get yours soon too!!!

Hey, what did you use to expedite? Please let me know the outcome. I am awaiting a job offer and would be expediting as well in the coming week if nothing comes in the mail.

Have you done any interviews? Applicants? Recrutiers?

Hi A&H2018,  3 weeks ago, i was celebrating that NBC  crossed over to 2018, unfortunately, within a day, they  revised the date. I was socked and disappointed.  I hope and pray that by 30-June, 2018, they will be processing March files.

Totally with you that time they explained their internal system and site was wrong. I assume they do not want the same again from all the calls they got but we shall see.

BTW, we have seen people up to Feb2 getting EADs now. So its chugging along, keep praying we will get there soon enuff.
