Hi all! Question, what are you guys using when you're expediting your Employment Authorization? Meaning which reason/evidence? We're wondering about that, my hun is pretty desperate to start working already. Thanks all B-)

Most of people use the first criteria which is "Severe financial loss to company or person". Your spouse will need a signed job offer to submit to USCIS after the request.

Seems like it's pretty normal not to get this notification!  We didn't, and sounds like others didn't as well.

Did anyone else not get anything after biometrics were done? I had mine on April 13, and all I have still is "On March 19th we received your case etc." No fingerprint review complete, no acknowledgement of biometrics sent or completed.  Congrats to all those who already have case ready for interview! Really hoping some of your good luck rubs off.

Read the post directly above yours...and those further back.  Yes, it seems this is normal.

Yes, K1 is entitled to have a SSN even after the wedding as long as the I-94 is still valid (just take note that the SSN is not valid for work until you present an EAD). If the K1 applicant is a female, you cannot use your married name. Once the I-94 expired, you have to wait for your EAD before  you can apply SSN.

How can you tell if the I-94 is expired? I can’t recall what that is or what it looks like. We have been married since December so I’m just gonna go ahead and assume it’s done 😩

Hello everyone,

quick question for you guys.

i am now filing my AoS (form I 485) together with :

  • form I 864(Affidavit of Support
  •  Form I 765(EAD)
  • form I 131(travel document)

i am confused whether I should attach documents like: copy of my passport, my birth certificate, my 94 form, passport pics, I-129F approval notice, copy of marriage certificate etc ADDITIONALLY for every form? One one hand I realize it’s unnecessary, since I file all these forms together. On the other, what if they’ll get separated and will be sent to different departments.

i would appreciate all of you sharing how you figured it out.

thank you!
