I have no idea. It also depends on your local office. Mine says on the website it will take at least 6months... but who knows?! Hope to get my work permit in a month or so at least (if im lucky)

Yeah mine is 2.5 to 6 months. I'm hoping too my wife wants to work so bad.

Hello everyone! Hope you are doing great!  I assume my questions have already been raised, but please advise if there is an easy step guide to fill in AOS files. I am going to be an April filer, but couldn't find any forum! Thank you in advance :-)

Try to read this blog, it helped me a lot since our k1 application. So far up to our AOS, we have never received a RFE .

Guys,

Yesterday I received rejection notices from USCIS in the mail for my 2 daughter's I-131 and I-765. They said the amount paid was incorrect and requested that I submit it again with the correct amount.

At first I was shocked and angry, I paid $750 each for their I-485 filing concurrently with I-131 and I-765 and I included copies of the money order used in the payment. Then I checked online and realized that I will have to resend it and include the I-797C receipt notices of the monies paid for I--485.

But I had submitted everything at a go the first time so I wondered why they did not realize what the monies were for. Anyway this morning i resubmitted it and included the copies of the I-797C I received.

Has anyone experienced something like this?

Yes, I had a similar experience. My i-765 was rejected for insufficient funds. Even though I filed it together with my i-485 & i-131. So it was their mistake. I resubmitted my i-765 the next day with the green letter on top. They received it within 3 days and I got the text and email 4 days later that it has been accepted. Now I have to go for another biometrics appointment next week for the i-765.

Good Luck, hopefully yours will be accepted this time

Yup. That blog helped me a lot for my k1 visa, too, and the rapid visa page where they included some tips for filing. No RFE and it was smooth and fast :) As for AOS, I relied so much at the Visa Harmony website.

Congratulations! Looking at your timeline, you are really a fast one. For your K1 and for your AOS as well. Besides the fact that you filed in Chicago, is there anything special about your case that it goes that fast?
