Hi Guys, I Have a problem... I received biometrics appointment letter today, but just for I-485, as my EAD was rejected (I respond to rejection letter on Wednesday, they should receive letter tomorrow). Now I am wondering, do I have to go 2 times for biometrics? :( They scheduled it in Jacksonville, FL which is almost 4 hours one way from us! :( It really bothers me... Should I call them and ask?

There's only one biometrics that you are required to do for this process.

Hi All! Was curious how long on average it took for your checks to be cashed after USCIS received your applications... ours was received per UPS tracking on the 16th, but still no cashed check :/ Worried that they haven't started processing our AOS yet... any insight would be helpful!!!

Hello March 2018 AOS filers!

When we submitted our AOS package together with the Travel document and EAD for my k2 visa holder minor son (8 yr old) we issued a separate check for his filing fee in the amount of $750 however our application for his EAD (purpose of EAD is to get him an SSN) and travel document was rejected and send back to us for the reason of non payment of correct fees but i was surprised since i research very well in the website that the amount for an 8 yr old AOS is 750 the EAD nad application for travel document is free. pls i need help coorect me if im wrong. if were wrong with the issued check amount in 750 how much are we going to pay more?

Hey fellow filers,

I am a latecomer to the group but am sending off my AOS either today or tomorrow. I just realized however that I printed all  my forms double sided- I have since heard that maybe USCIS only accepts single sided forms? Could someone please let me know if there is such a requirement?

Thanks a lot!

Oh boy, I sent mine double sided too. We had no issue during the i-129f so we didn't think that was a problem... Let's hope they're feeling nice when they look at my application.

Morning VJ family,

Great news my fiancé was approved on 03/14/18!  I was at the Interview and we picked up his visa on the 22nd. We got home on the 25th!

Ours prayers have been answered and It's truly a blessing.

Are there any additional papers we need to obtain or take to get our marriage license?

My other question is where can I find updated step to AOS? Of course I will be coming to this page as well with questions if you don't mind but just asking.

The CBP stressed that we complete asap after we get married. The ceremony is next month all ready planned.

Thank you all in advance.

Hi, I am still arranging my AOS packet, I was wondering if someone can help me with the EAD form. What is the category for K1 visa, is it (a)(6) or (c)(9)? Thanks.

Hi!

The category is (C) (9), for an 1 year valid EAD. If you put the (a) (6) category, your EAD only would be valid while  I-94 valid date.

I just spoko to the uscis employer on the phone... she said they can schedule me another biometrics appointment for ead, but it really depends on the oficer that is holding my case, he can use my „old” biometrics or schedule another one, perfect... ;( So, next Wednesday I am going on 4 h (one way) trip to Jacksonville and than pray they wont send me another letter.
