the biometric letter seems to be a letter from the ASC which i dont have yet, however, you were still correct, i tried and i was able to track the receipt number on the uscis.gov website.

Signed for on March 6th.  Hopefully, the address change doesn’t cause an issue. I submitted the change a week before the package was mailed.  GC expires next Thursday. So, I’m now on the the next worry.

You should be fine unless you plan to travel soon. I am sure the change of address went through just fine, and to be sure, you could give them a call and make sure the have the right address on file.

Fingers crossed.  They are great at messing up paperwork and things going missing.  So I’m very leery.  They losted all my original documents, which were required, when I applied for my mother in the 90’s.  Thank goodness I had my US passport or I would then have nothing to show to prove my status.

.This experience has been seamless so far though.

Anyway, I did call about the address change but, since there was no open case on file they wouldn’t give us info over the phone.  I’ll try calling again, and I made an info pass appointment for next Wednesday, just in case.  

Yes, I know I’m being a bit paranoid but, the current atmosphere for immigrants is not a good one.  So I’m a bit spooked.

I'm ready to submit today! Did you all do anything special with whatever you put on the box? - I'm going to use USPS.

 

Also, I'm debating adding on the appraisal for my wedding ring...I'm not sure if it adds much value to the packet: it just shows a really expensive piece of jewelry and I don't know if adding it would be perceived the wrong way or if it would add more significance to our relationship - any thoughts?

I agree with you that it may not add much to the value of the package, however, I don't think it would hurt to add it. It's probably better to send too much than too little. I also think it shows that it is not a sham marriage, because who would spend a lot of money for a ring if it was a scam.

March filer here. We got in just under the wire! Our NOA1 is dated 2 days before our expiration!

 

A lot happened though, including the death of my mother (who I was a caregiver for) on February 6th. We ended up having to use the Filing fee $ for her cremation and had to wait for our next paycheck.

 

We don't have a lot of financial evidence. we sent:

 

-Tax filed jointly

-shared bank account statements 18+ months

-His life insurance policy naming me as beneficiary

 

!!!we didnt have a lease of utilities because our home was my mothers until she passed away and all utilities were in her name because she requested it stay that way.

 

-we sent chat and SMS logs for him and I

-chat logs between his daughter and I (she is still in the netherands)

-photos of us together with dates and occasions labeled

-photos of him with my children with dates

-photos of his daughter with our family when she came for a visit

 

 

2 weeks ago (after sending the packet) we applied for a car loan together and bought a car.

have the opportunity to transferr the deed to the house into my name or to both of us jointly.  Would it help our case to do that? Its been submitted already, but the house is paid for and has significant financial value. is it worth doing to pay a lawyer to trasfer the deed and submit that late as additional proof?

First off, sorry about your mother 

 

If it was me, I would wait and see (since you already filed). If they send you a RFE, then you can send it in, but you may have enough proof as it is.

Ah we just submitted. And of course I forgot to write "ATTN: I-751" on the box. I hope it's not a big deal.  How come submitting makes me even more nervous....ugh!

That is huge!! I can't imagine it is such a big deal that you didn't write ATTN: I-751.
