Good morning everyone,

RFE received on February 8 and sent our package last Friday and they received the day after, on Saturday.

We recently changed our address, so they wanted proof of good faith marriage to see if we moved together.

So this is what I sent:

We also attached an explanation of missing documents such as mortgage or children's birth certificates.

We have never owned a house, since we have been living with my mother-in-law and now with my sister-in-law until we'll find our own place.

Hope this can help. We are pretty relaxed about the process. We continue with our lives, and next month I can apply for citizenship. I hope that I will get approved prior to that.

We will see how the process goes.

:)

I received an update from USCIS saying that on March 11 they received my RFE response! Yaay! I wasn't expecting an official update on the website!

"Response to USCIS' Request for Evidence Was Received.  Our California Service Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you."

Exciting!! Fingers crossed!

Lol yes i guess it didn't make much sense, this is the first update I've seen or been notified of since my 18month extension. So i guess my question really is does this mean my case has been approved? No interview needed etc. Still waiting for my sons too.

Yes

Interesting.  I guess after CSC offloaded a chunk of April 2018 and then realize, "oh we don't want to do these piles either, let's give them to NSC too."

Good luck, and keep us posted on where your file goes.  You should be receiving a transfer notice within the next week.  My guess is it is going to Nebraska (based on the April CSC filers).  Vermont seems to be giving them to Texas recently.

My case was transfered to Nebraska. Does anybody know what I should expect from this? Website says 15.5 to 23 months. I sure hope they are not starting over with my case.

Now, to file or not to file for N400? 🤔 🤔 🤔

4 cases after mine got transferred and i got nothing? Ughh

@Maryakhadra - The same, I just realized today after someone reported last night that his/her case, EAC18126 was transferred, so I checked mine EAC18122, and a bunch of them were transferred to Texas Service Center yesterday (3/12) and today (3/13).

Mine was among maybe 20 or so (out of 100) of survivors whose cases have not been transferred (yet).

I actually think it is a good thing.

Same thing with me. I am not sure if that's a good thing or not.

@GBOS this whole thing is a hot mess 😭😭. We just sit there and wait while some people get movement and some don’t. I guess we’ll wait and see what’s up with us soon hopefully.

@Maryakhadra - the only reason I can come up with at the moment is that Vermont and California both are shifting their workforce temporarily to help with the fast approaching H1B filing season, beginning April 1, 2019.

A lot of files are transferred to Texas and Nebraska so that they at least will get processed and the flow can keep moving.

As far as we are concerned, I cannot explain either how they pick and choose which cases to transfer and which to not.  It is not sequential, but the transfers has happened in particular batches, that is for sure.

There are factors (other than the filing date, and there are unknown to us) that USCIS use internally to prioritize cases.  This is why cases are not processed in numerical receipt numbers, I am sure you notice that as you track them.  Some combinations of factors about each application (whether it be nationality, date of first grant LPR, sex, preliminary review etc) is putting one in front of the rest, and this is “probably” true on why certain cases stay and certain cases go.

While I am curious as hell why my case is among the survivors of these recent transfers from Vermont to Texas, I am optimistic that we are in better positions to not be transferred.

I mean, you can do the math, they are working on EAC180865 now and there are a big hole from EAC180875 to EAC180965, then from EAC181095 to EAC181165, and then again from EAC181195 to something way past both of us.

There are just not many cases around us left at Vermont, think about that.  It cannot be long before we either get an approval (or RFE) or we get transferred to when they find our files in the cracks between storage LOL.

Do any of you here, March 2018 filers, live in the northeast (like NY, MA, PA, VT, NJ, DC, MD, VA, NH, DE, RI) and get your case transferred out of Vermont to another center recently?
