For those that have been approved, did your new card come USPS registered mail? USPS tried to deliver something in a large envelope today but I was not home to sign. This is the only thing I can think of that it could be. Fingers crossed.

I do have inform delivery and got a notification about my approval notice a week ago, however, my green card arrived today in a usps red/white priority mail envelope with a tracking number assigned and it was not in my inform delivery summary, super weird.

Hello, fellow March filers!

I wanted to share the recent happenings with my case, my daughter and I both applied for ROC and our case was received on March 29, 2018. On May 25, 2018, I received a letter stating that they were going to use the old biometrics so no biometrics appointed needed. I assumed that it meant both my daughter and me, but to my surprise, we received a biometrics appointment letter for my daughter yesterday. The appointment was scheduled for March 8th, but we are traveling out of the country a couple of days before the interview date, so I took a leap of faith and showed up to the USCIS office this morning and explained my situation, they asked me to come back after 2 pm. Long story short it worked out! My kid got her appointment a little over a week earlier.

Now, I can't help but wonder why it took so long for them to ask her for a biometrics appointment. (my crazy theory is that someone has looked at our case) my kid was very young when she got her first green card... all they did today was update her picture. I wonder if it is because they don't want to use the old picture for a 10-year green card because she was too young?

Anyone has seen or heard of anything like this??

Exact same (well, super similar) thing just happened to me (well, my spouse and step son).  Applied for ROC in March, May or so got the “we will use your old biometrics” mailing. Today we got a letter dated 2/15/19 stating the same thing that my son needs to get his finger prints on March 5th!

The data has finally been published for Q4 2018 (June 1, 2018, to Setember 1, 2018) for USCIS.  You can view the full data at https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports and Studies/Immigration Forms Data/All Form Types/Quarterly_All_Forms_FY18Q4.pdf

I have attached a screenshot but the number is probably too small to see.

A positive news, assuming that the trend remains for Q1 2019 (October 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018).

I-751s (for the first 3Qs of 2018) have been adjudicated (out) at about 50% of new applications (in), and that is why the backlog has grown so large.  In Q4 2018, the adjudication rate increased significantly, and if the trend remains, the backlog will still increase but it will not be as bad as it was before.  So maybe we are looking at 15 months (current posted waiting time) going forward.

I got my RFE today. It says that they need more evidence of bona Fide marriage. I sent tons of evidence (good evidence) and it seems to be it was not enough. I don’t know what other evidence I can add to my case . This is frustrating.

In some cases, they will also be looking for the evidence that covers the entire time of marriage, at least during the two years since you first got a green card.

The problem I have heard from VJ memvers here is that sometimes they only send in documents that are most recent ones (like last 3-6 months) as of the filing date.  USCIS wants to see the entire period of time, like lease/mortgage needs to cover at least 2 years, bank statements need to show at least 2 years (quarterly statements are Ok, they don’t have to be 24 statements as long as they can put together the period of time).

So today I just got the 'waived biometrics' letter - again, for the third time for my daughter. I'm sure mine will follow in the next few days.  We filed at the end of March last year and this is the third time we've received this letter. It's dated 02/22

It must be auto generated or something.

All the evidence I sent covered the entire time. I even sent affidavits from friends, life insurance, close to a hundred pictures of us traveling in different dates around the world, etc

what I didn't Send much evidence, was financial, because he has good money so we never needed to lease, or have credit cards together. I paid some of the bills but everything was under his name since he has owned the house for more than 20 years so there was not reason to change the bill’s account to both names.

This is is really frustrating. I just found some emails we sent back and forth where we used words like honey, or baby. That I think will help. And some other little things that can be added to my case. Some other friends are gonna give me affidavits of bona fide marriage.

I’ll be sending the new package early this coming week, then wait who knows how long more.

for me it sounds more like the officer needed time to review my case and just sent this RFE to gain some extra time. That’s what I friend of mine who is an immigration officer told me they usually do when having too much work. I know it’s not fair but it is what it is.

anybody has an idea of the processing time after sending the new evidence?

@Fer00 - Based on what we heard from VJ members around here, 2-4 weeks from the date USCIS receives your response.  An USCIS adjudicator usually reviews RFE and approves it as soon as he/she is satisfied with the totality of evidence.  If he/she is not satisfied with it, then the file will very much likely be transferred to schedule an interview.  The adjudicators usually do not issue a second RFE.

Financial documents are probably the most convincing evidence from an adjudicator standpoint.  I didn’t see you mentioned a joint bank account from the list above.  If you have that at least that is one great evidence, then you can explain why you don’t need to have debt together (because you don’t need/want to).

We actually did have a joint account. I already sent those documents

How strange! Must be some weird bug? On the other hand, we have not heard anything about biometrics.. no appointment, or waived letter.  Anyone else?  Received the 18 month extension letter, so hopefully nothing to worry about.
