...and here we go again. My GC expires April 1st and we're sending our package off on Saturday. I've been reading through your posts and I have a couple questions:

1. what's this I-551 "form"? Is that just the actual green card?

2. you've all sent way more than we did. Why send things like a marriage cert? They already have that on file. It doesn't prove anything over the last 2 years, no?

I paid by money order so won’t be much of a help with this! Alittle concerned that I messed up as did two separate money orders one for filing and one for biometric due to issues at our local post office! Fingers crossed will be okay!

i did the same. But there were no instructions saying it has to be one check or money order so i think we're ok. Also, if you got the money order at post office like i did, you can check status of the money orders if you still have the serial numbers on them at https://mois.usps.com/pls/pmoisnp/mois_external_pkg.main

1. The I-551 is a stamp you can get on your passport for when the 1 year extension letter expires. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/temporary-i-551-stamps-and-mrivs

From what I have read, you can get it 30 days before the extension letter expires.

2. I'm not sending it since I also suppose they already have it.

Yes, you would have to get another since the stamp expires after a year.

Let the fun begin. Our package was delivered to CSC today. Woohoo!

Anybody have a feel how far out Biometrics appointments are? Taking a quick look at other threads, it's looking like two months from NOA1.

My wife and I will be out of the country mid-May. Hoping her biometrics isn't scheduled during that week.

Good luck to everyone, not sure who has gone back and looked at previous months' threads just to get an idea of a timeline. VSC seems to be moving along well but the CSC is backed up on biometrics. I checked back to October and seems only half of them have gotten biometrics letters so far, the rest are still waiting...

No one seems to know what is going on, but there are even some people who got approved without ever getting their biometrics done again. Of course, they never got a refund for the fees either

Can’t believe I’m on pins and needles yet again. I’m hoping we receive our NOA1 before my husband’s green card expires on March 15th.  I’m guessing that the no March filers has yet.  Hopefully, by Monday.
