Has anyone traveled with the extension letter but wasn't asked to show it when returning to the US?

My wife and I have traveled internationally 3 times with her expired GC and extension letter. On two different occasions, she wasn't asked to show her letter.  When I look in the I-94 Travel History page, both of those trips shows the departure but not the arrival.

The third trip she was asked for the extension letter upon our return, the travel history shows both the departure and arrival.

Haven't recevied my 18-month-extention letter just yet.

But we have been having issues with our UPS PO box, as in mail getting lost. So I was wondering if I would call USCIS, can they tell me if they have sent it and it just got lost or hasn't been sent yet; or do they not have access/care about giving out that information?

If you have the 12 month ext letter, I wouldn't worry about the 18 month until closer to the time your 12 month is about to expire. Not sure it's worth the time or aggravation of calling now.

Did anybody else file divorced ?? Unfortunately, my marriage did not work and had not option. I sent tons of evidences of Bona faith marriage but still feel too anxious. I am traveling to Madrid this Tuesday using the extension letter, hoping nothing bad happens. I’ll let you know once back how everything went.

I got a copy of NOA of 18 months extension letter in white paper in mid-August. The notice date is shown as 8/6/2018 but I haven't got the official notice yet as of 9/20/2018.

Is this normal? Or should I call uscis to send me the official copy again if there's a chance it's missing?

Unfortunately, I didn't receive 12 month ext letter either. In this case, I would probably have to request the official copy, right?
