There was a theory on one of the other months thread that it may have to do with if you left the country or not. The theory was that if you left, then they took your fingerprints each time. So you wouldn't have to go. Just a theory though.

Good theory, but I have left many times!

Maybe something to do with money order vs. cc?

Exactly my thoughts. I have actually 2 ongoing cases, replacement of lost GC and I-751.

My coworkers couldn't believe when I told them prices and time-frames for those services, and the kind of service received from slow bureaucracy of USCIS.
