This is coming through my lawyer who files hundreds of cases yearly - we're talking about years and years of experience here. I'd rather add this than getting process delayed which is already time consuming. But rest looks good.

From what I gathered on this forum, the affidavits are weak evidence. But if you don't have much, then they can be good to add. Certainly not your case @francais_usa

I am adding two sworn affidavits as well as an explanation letter because we do not have any co-mingling of finances. I have also included many pictures as well as memberships we have together.

 

I think that each case is different and yes it does depend on who the adjudicator is and what he/she considers proof.

That makes sense then! I'm looking into filling out healthcare power of attorney forms now, maybe that could contribute more to your case too?

 

EDIT: looks like you have to notarize it and I'm not willing to put in that work right now.  But could be an option for those looking to have more in their packets!

I thought about that, but to be honest I'm not really worried, we had an interview for AOS and got approved on the spot. I'm sure they have a record of it. 

 

We have also been together for 12 years and have been living together for 10 years. There is nothing suspicious about our relationship and no red flags at all.

We can only provide what we have and be honest anyway. Of course I'd rather not have another interview, but if we have to, so be it. 

 

Hopefully our explanation letter will be enough. I have seen others get approved without interview and they also had no co-mingling of finances. I'm sure USCIS is aware that not everybody lives the same way and looks at it case by case. 

 

I think you'll be fine for sure, you have so much proof already!

I was getting ready to head out and shipped my package but decided to do one last check, and I found out I was using an expired I-751 form . That would suck to get it all back. Oh well, I caught in it time.

Thank goodness you caught it! Good thing you checked your package over, I had also made a mistake, but had not sent it. I think they came out with the new form just a few months ago.

Completing my i-751 today, the 90 days falls on the 9th March, so getting all together to mail ... here we go again

• Original Bank Personal Check, in the amount of $680.00 for payment of the I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence + Biometric fee

• Enlarged copy of USCIS Form I-551 front and back (Permanent Resident Card)

• Original Form I-751 filled and signed by us

Exhibit B:

• Certified marriage certificate between showing marriage on 2015 in California

• Copy of the Marriage Certificate signed and stamped by the registrar of the French Republic – Foreign Affairs Ministry showing that our marriage is registered in France

• Copy of pages 10 and 11 from the French Family Record Book showing that our marriage is registered in France

Exhibit C:

• Copy of biometric French passport

• Copies of driver’s license showing joint residence at our address

Exhibit D:

• Two original notarized affidavits attesting to the bondafide nature of our marriage

Exhibit E:

• Copies of monthly bank statements of our joint checking and savings accounts since our marriage, showing various financial co-mingling such as PG&E, credit cards payments.

• Copy of the change of relationship to add my name dated on our marriage

• Copies of the last 6 months bank statements of our joint account

• Copy of change of ownership of the house we living in.

• Copy of the house insurrance in both our names

• Copies of The City Utilities monthly statements showing us as jointly responsible for paying water in our joint residence at our adress
