I-751 March 2018 Filers

We were eligible 2nd week in Feb but were also waiting on tax transcripts.  Now that they're here, I hope to file soon.  

 

Also if you fill out the i751 on google chrome, it will let you fill out the n/a and none stuff - it wouldn't let me do that with acrobat, and I didn't want to write stuff in, though I'm sure it's fine if you write as well!

Hey! I remember you from February 2016 AOS!! Looks like we'll be following each other again. I hope you're doing well. 

 

I had to re-write my petition because I had made an error and I just put NA and some of them I left blank. We'll see what happens.

No thank goodness I didn't have to re-send it, I will be sending it in mid-March. I had mixed up the month and day for my husband's birth date.

I'm at the end of putting together my packet, and I need some advice on if what I'm including is enough.   I decided to avoid putting info about our car lease since we got it under my mom's name and my name (hubby didn't have a job at the time, so couldn't sign onto the lease).  Is there more I can add? Really trying to avoid an RFE. Edit: packet weighs about 5 lbs right now...lol

 

So far, we have:

-Copies of marriage certificates from the US and France

-Apartment leases 

-Renter's insurance

-Energy Bills (this doesn't span our marriage, I realized this late in the game and added him a year later)

-Driver's Licenses showing joint residence

-Tax transcripts and W-2's for the past 2 years

-Personal property tax receipt

-Monthly joint bank statements from marriage to present

-Picture of our 3 different credit cards 

-Quarterly American Express credit card statements

-Joint health insurance for 5 months (this was while I was working; we are now on separate insurances because I'm still under 26 and on my parent's plan)

-AAA declarations certificate, insurance cards 

-AT&T family plan

-Photos & travel itineraries

Honestly, I didn't do this for my K-1 nor my AOS and it was completely fine.  The instructions say to write N/A or none as applicable, however, so you can do it just to be safe.

All documents can and should be copies, as USCIS is not likely to return your packet.  I ordered a bunch of certified copies from the county, which is basically an original.

5 lbs !! I'm not an expert, but I can't imagine they would want any more than that. Looks like you have it all covered! You could send an explanation letter about the health insurance.

I just wrote none and NA for the child part (only the first one). The rest like interpreter and such, I left blank, because I had already checked that I understand English and no one helped us. Bonne chance!!

Ok, I'll definitely put that in my cover letter! Thank you The ROC process makes me more nervous than AOS or K1 ever did - I feel like a lot of it is up in the air and depends on what the adjudicator thinks is real evidence.

You also need to add Affidavits sworn in front of notary - by atleast 2 US Citizens  who have known both of you since marriage.
