We were also transferred at the same time but no longer waiting.  I’m sure it will happen soon.

Well, finally after waiting 1.7yrs we finally recieved the News our N-400 has been recommended for approval and the following day we also recieved I-751 is approved. I'm guessing the latter was approved first which made it possible for the former. We had filed for the N-400 in January 2019 while waiting for a pending I-751 from March 2018. My wifes N-400 interview well at the time back in July 2019, however she was not approved pending the GC approval. I suppose the GC is not as valuable as the Oath Ceremony pending a date.

I agree.......My wife has a pending I-751, and she can apply for citizenship in a couple months.......not waiting for the ROC to be completed......Thanks for posting.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Definitely not worth waiting for ROC if you eligible, there is no advantage to waiting it out. Just pushes your timeline to naturalization further in the end.

We officially submitted N-400 today. Our I-751 is pending, and the last action was taken in August 2019 when it was transferred to our local office (Seattle) to schedule an interview. We'd originally hoped to get the 10-year green card and take a break from USCIS before filing N-400, but the wait has just become comically long. My husband filed the I-751 in March 2018, and has been eligible for N-400 for several months. We originally didn't file N-400 for a few reasons, but have now decided to file since we just really want to just move on with our lives. Best of luck to everyone else still waiting for I-751, and to everyone who's filed N-400 :)

@beckerams Hello, so you haven’t heard from them after your interview? How was your interview? You only had an I751 interview not combo? I havent had any news either. I applied in March 2018 , no RFE, no news except for the stamp in my passport. I placed multiple calls and even contacted my congressman but the answer is always “ it s within normal processing times” CSC processing time is now 23 months and it has been 22 months for me but the sad news is they will increase the processing time again like they have been doing. I think ill just apply for N409 again but where i live it can take up to 18 months . I don’t know if i wanna wait another 18 months on top of the 22 months i have been waiting. That would make it 22+18? Not too sure if it s worth it...

@Hopegrace We haven’t had the I-751 interview yet, our case was only transferred to Seattle to be scheduled for an interview. That was in August 2019 and we haven’t heard anything since then. We’re still technically within normal processing times for CSC but after I looked at some other threads for cases similar to ours, I saw the scheduling can take up to 8 months, and a few congresspeople had to inquire 2-3 times since USCIS apparently doesn’t always respond to the first congressional inquiry. We just decided that for us the right decision was to stop waiting and just go for the N400.

Thank you

Nothing for citizenship. I guess I will have to wait a bit more for that.

N-400 Needed supervisor review before final approval. So I am still waiting on that one.

Hello guys, my initial documents were recieved on 05/07/2018 at California Service Center... so far no word from them except fingerprints in July 2019, anybody in the same boat? I saw that they reduced processing time for CA center up to 20.5 months...so I am already over that time frame...I don’t know what to do

I was CSV too, although mine was approved 9 months ago ans we applied the same month I really don't understand why some cases have to wait so long !

Don't confuse my personality with my attitude....My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are...
