my best bid would be wait till I receive the letter in hand. I have a home that we bought together. I send the deed to them.

Also, all my accounts are together...but yes..i will wait.

Thanks for replying though..im so stressed about this.

Hello there --

Yes - it is quite stressful.  But you have to wait for the letter to know what the RFE is about.  It takes about a week to get the letter on hand.  You will have 90 days to respond.  There is no change in status for you.  In fact, my wife and I were in India when we got RFE and no questions were asked at the port of entry.  So keep your cool.

Once you know what the RFE is about,  let us know and we can help you.

Take it easy.

call USCIS in October.

Officer will call you back. check your case and will setup appointment at local office.

get stamp on your passport. it could be 3 month,6month or 1year stamp based on when officer will touch your file.

if file is still untouched and closer to expiry of stamp. make another phone call and get appointment for stamp.

we know this is far more than the word ridiculous. but that's the way it is. they like keeping you in that limbo state.

you gotta a home before adjusting status 😎

I don't think you need to send them the deed.

even if you send a crossed copy of the deed thats more than enough,

Yes, I am sure you can do that. Just give an explanation in your covering letter.

Does the email mention to enclose this letter with the response? Does it have a barcode of some sort?

Thanks

I, personally would include it.  With my personality I would be worried that it would be misfiled.

There must be a second sheet that has the details of the RFE? You will see a barcode and your file identification.  You will need to attach that too.

yes - great.  So attach these as well.  I recall that you have many solid documentation showing joint finances.  Download tax transcript from IRS website.  You will see a dropdown where you choose 'immigration' which will direct you to download tax transcript.  Please note if you had sent tax transcripts in the first time then don't send it again. I had sent printouts and they specifically said it is not proof that taxes were filed.

If you have taken trips together, boarding passes, some photos etc will help on the social side of marriage.  Affidavits from friends and I had attached photos with those friends from their family events as well.

Good Luck!
