Are N-400 applicants receiving i-751 approval?  It looks like some have.  I would like to get a sense if this is likely, or if N-400 applicants are more likely to have to wait to receive even i-751 approval.

14.5 months, no news.  VSC filer.

It's so random. Like everything else with USCIS I guess.

I didn't file for N400 with my I751 because the general consensus is that it can and often does delay processing of the 10 year GC application. In hindsight it probably would have been fine for me to just go ahead and do it though since I am not planning on traveling outside of the US anytime in the next year or two.

I guess hindsight is always 20/20.  I got good advice on here - I just don't think it really matters in my case one way or another.

Another March filer here sitting almost 14 months out. We only applied for I 751 (not N400 with it). Did not get transferred (we are at CSC) and got three biometrics waiver letters over the course of the last year, the most recent one a couple of months ago. We just got a letter with Bio appointments in the mail over the weekend so none of any of this makes sense. But then, with USCIS, it never does lol

Question for those who closely follow the trends of these processes :)

We have our biometrics scheduled for our I-751 - me and 17 year old daughter - for next week. Is there any harm in applying for our N400 now? We have no plans to travel outside the US in the next year and I'm wondering if we should just go ahead and do it. I get that there may be a delay with the I751, but should we just get the ball rolling for the naturalization?

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

If you do not plan to travel for the foreseeable future, I would say go ahead and have it done. I am also thinking about filing N-400 at mid or late June. At this point, I don't believe it will get any worse.

Thank you so much. We were thinking along those lines.

By the way - I was thinking about you earlier today. (Cue my guilty face ....)

I had an almighty rant about the waiting and all the rest a few days ago and I had quoted your post, even though I hope it was clear that my rant was not at you. THen this morning I saw your timeline and thought, damn!  You guys have really had to suck up some long, awful waits.

I'm so sorry.  Just wanted to put it out there because I know you have enough stress and frustration without having to listen to someone else rant about USCIS.

You have been incredibly helpful and supportive all the way through this wait and I really appreciate all the support and helpful information you have shared.  Hopefully we are all within sight of the finish line here so we can just get on an live our lives with our families without constantly checking or waiting for the next lot of forms or appointments!

We also got one. We got not one, but THREE letters over the past 14 months saying that they are reusing biometrics for us. On Saturday we got biometrics appointments in the mail. I have no idea but I admit I'm glad it's not just us. I wondered if there was something wrong with our application.

Did they set an appointment date for you yet or were you just told you have to go redo them?

got my bio metrics done last week eventhough got waiver last year twice. weird = uscis lol

Had my N400 filled online and ready to go. but since I saw people getting cards produced right after the biometrics.

Plan to wait on the card and then let the N400 go through.

Hi All

I have been reading about biometrics waiver and getting recent appointment for biometrics again. I filed at CSC and had biometrics done last week. Has anyone got their green cards soon after their biometrics.

thanks

I saw Cougarfalcon mentioning about the 2 websites. And then one of them saying cards produced for him.

The only website am aware of is this :- https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Congratulations on the progress! We're in a similar situation as we moved right before submitting our I-751 and received an RFE last month. We submitted the additional evidence a couple weeks ago and I'm thinking we might also be interviewed. If you don't mind my asking, would it be possible for you to report back with the types of questions they asked you in the interview? I'm feeling a bit nervous about a potential interview and, like everyone else, very much looking forward to this stage being over. Good luck in the interview and cheers to almost being done!

As promised, here I am updating you after my interview.

It went very smoothly. We got approved on the spot. The officer was very nice and funny as well. Very relaxed atmosphere in the office.

The officer just went through our I-765 application asking us to confirm the full name, DOB and SSN. She asked my husband the date of our marriage and then she went on talking about the pictures I submitted, she enjoyed going through them.

Really that's it. She asked if we have kids or prior marriages and she complimented with me for the job on filing the application, she specified the tab and color-coded system really helped her going through our file and she doesn't have any doubts that our marriage is in bona fide.

She said to expect the 10-year green card to be in my mail within 3 weeks. :)

We are done!!!!
