i just spoke with a rep and im not going to ask them anymore questions. seems like they dont know anything and are very rude. i was talking to lady about using my 2017 tax transcripts and she cut me off and said u cant use those since their not available since deadline is in april and i told her i did mine in jan and yes they are available.

then i was asking her about submitting w-2 since i did joint return and using tax return instead of transcript since they have the amended info and again shes like sir i cant answer since that is in future and we dont even have ur case # yet and if theres an issue we will let u know. and i told her the whole point of asking is to plan ahead so i dont get a checklist and get delayed even more then i realized shes not helpful so just said thank bye so frustrating where did these people learn customer service skills were paying their salary and they dont even know basic stuff..

I have given up on asking them questions.

If I were you, I would just do what @truelove29 did and just note on the tax transcript that it was amended.

I am trying to stay positive by filling out the I-864s and scanning the required documents into pdf.  I don't even bother calling...'cuz I know that they will just give me the wait until 8 weeks story.

Called this evening just before they closed. Still no Case #.

The guy didn't even bother asking for a receipt number. He probably knows they don't have any new case numbers so why bother.  .

Yayyyyyy! Just called nvc and was given case numbers for both my husband and me. Exactly 5 weeks today since nvc received our case.

What I didn't understand is people here say they give their email addresses but when i asked her myself if I should provide email addresses she said no. So how will I receive anything from them?

Congratulations @MrsKhan!!!  Sometimes I wish that I am not a pivot case...at least it is moving for regular cases and you can be doing stuff...while we just wait wait and wait!

Our case numbers are on the way. Let's hope for the best! :)

so i just spoke to nvc and seems like theres lack of consistency. i was only going to submit my 2017 taxes but lady said they request all three even though i told her uscis form says most recent and as does their state website. she then said u can provide most recent and we can still move forward but the embassy will require all three so im thinking should i just submit 2017 now since that shows me in best light and give my wife all 3 years for interview in case they ask or take chance and submit all three years now....

From

  https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-864ezinstr.pdf?download=1

The following items must be submitted with Form I-864EZ:
For ALL sponsors:
A copy of your individual Federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement
and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099,
Schedule, and any other evidence of reported income. You may submit this information for the three most recent
tax years, pay stubs from the most recent six months, and/or a letter from your employer if you believe any of these
items will help you qualify.

🤖 The operator was right 3 years of previous tax returns. I sent them my tax return account transcripts they are longer with more information than the account transcripts. They are free to receive them call IRS to order them.

👀 Make sure you choose the correct form.

I have this issue too. My 2016 return I had amended to married filing separately...but my transcript still says single. I wrote in the comments that I had it amended when I uploaded it. I'll send the copy of the amendment with my husband to his interview...along with my 2017 transcript which should say "married filing separately...I just ordered it.

My taxes (2017) were completed as single. I sent 3 past year transcripts 2015, 2016 & 2017 to NVC as single. I thought I would get a checklist but I didn't. When at the interview if they ask my wife why I filed as single for 2017. Hope she remembers what I told her. When I get a social security number he will file as married and we didn't want to wait for me to get an ITIN number.. 😇 Hopefully they don't ask nothing about my filing status. 🤫

Hello i dont know if im in the right group but my husbands I-130 was approved 3/19/2018 he entered into the US at the age of 7 with no legal documents. now im just confused on what is next ? we have a lawyer but we wont see him until next week so im wondering what is next ? im pretty sure my husband wil have to go to his home country to ask for forgiveness but what are the current prices for these paper works ?

Wait for lawyer, and before make a decision ask 2-3 different lawyers, some of them have free phone consultations or for 100$. I know person who needed waiver for overstay. My understanding if you file for waiver right now it will stop all paper work and it’s about 9 months for waiver to be approved. Your husband will have to fill the waiver and bring it to interview. If officer asks for it then he will give it to him. I’m not sure about payment my understanding you shouldn’t pay in this case but i don’t know for sure. Waiver should be prepared for interview. This system was for overstay, in your case maybe will be similar. Good luck.

Congrats!! If you provided your email addresses in your I-130 form, they already have it. You should receive a welcome e-mail shortly!

For people who missed it, can you please fill in the spreadsheet to track case number assignment dates! Thank you!! :)
