so i just spoke to nvc and seems like theres lack of consistency. i was only going to submit my 2017 taxes but lady said they request all three even though i told her uscis form says most recent and as does their state website. she then said u can provide most recent and we can still move forward but the embassy will require all three so im thinking should i just submit 2017 now since that shows me in best light and give my wife all 3 years for interview in case they ask or take chance and submit all three years now....

No , regular case

uscis journey was hard for us . Priority date is April 20-2017 .

they finally approved our I-130 on jan 5-2018 .

NVC journey has been very smooth for us.nvc received my case on jan.22 2018 .

Got our case number right after 2 weeks

. By feb 16 , I had completed all the steps online . I mailed  all the supporting and financial documents on March 1,2018 ( had to wait to get my 2017 tax  filed )

NVC received it on March 5,2018

scan date was March 7,2018

yesterday  around 7 pm our case status changed from “ submit required documents “ to “case at NVC

I called to confirm right away and it was cc .

Waiting for the interview date now .

Hello i dont know if im in the right group but my husbands I-130 was approved 3/19/2018 he entered into the US at the age of 7 with no legal documents. now im just confused on what is next ? we have a lawyer but we wont see him until next week so im wondering what is next ? im pretty sure my husband wil have to go to his home country to ask for forgiveness but what are the current prices for these paper works ?

Hi Heathermorales1,
I believe there is a thread for waivers. But maybe we can help!

So you're husband needs to file a provisional unlawful presence waiver (I-601A) correct? Is that what the attorney mentioned to you?

well in that case, he will need to pay the National Visa Center fees (AOS $120 and CR1/IV $325 total $445) After paying, let the National Visa Center know to hold off on further processing. Then he will file the I-601A waiver with USCIS (attach a copy of paid visa fees). The waiver will cost $585 and biometrics $85 so a total of $670. If the waiver is approved then he will contact NVC for further processing and they will schedule his interview in his home country.

They are two different transcripts tax return transcript and a tax account transcript. But what you stated before might work.

With how slow NVC is moving, I will suggest you submit all three and maybe avoid a checklist. Most of them do not know what they are saying because I have been given some misinformation while waiting for my case number. So if you have all three, send all three.

yeah im thinking that too. now issue is 2 tax returns were amended so tax transcripts dont show the new information so will ask them how to deal with that.

Yes ask them about it but if they are not clear on it just send the transcripts, returns if it shows the amended data or any document showing the amendment if it affects your total income. I understand they look at income more than anything else on the transcript

I have this issue too. My 2016 return I had amended to married filing separately...but my transcript still says single. I wrote in the comments that I had it amended when I uploaded it. I'll send the copy of the amendment with my husband to his interview...along with my 2017 transcript which should say "married filing separately...I just ordered it.

i just spoke with a rep and im not going to ask them anymore questions. seems like they dont know anything and are very rude. i was talking to lady about using my 2017 tax transcripts and she cut me off and said u cant use those since their not available since deadline is in april and i told her i did mine in jan and yes they are available.

then i was asking her about submitting w-2 since i did joint return and using tax return instead of transcript since they have the amended info and again shes like sir i cant answer since that is in future and we dont even have ur case # yet and if theres an issue we will let u know. and i told her the whole point of asking is to plan ahead so i dont get a checklist and get delayed even more then i realized shes not helpful so just said thank bye so frustrating where did these people learn customer service skills were paying their salary and they dont even know basic stuff..
