Yes you do that part.

I have a question that you might know i am confused on the alien number for the beneficiary on form i864 . If you notice the approval notice of uscis or noa2 it says the alien number next to beneficiary . Now the question is do you use that number on i864 forms or you leave it blank  or put n/a or none? What did you put ?

There is something really screwy happening at NVC. The last 6 times I have called they always said my receive date was Feb 21. I called tonight and the man tells me they received Feb 19th. This doesn't make any sense. I have read where others had their dates moved up. Anyone else have their rec date move on them?

The i864 that you download from uscis website is protected .

What i did and this was advice from successfully experiences ..  you have two options

1 you type all that the form lets you type

The you print it nicely , then with a pen you type all the n/a or nones you like and dont forget to sing and date it

Also make sure you include every single page in order

Then you scan all pages in order and send and done.

Option 2 if you are picky

Fill all info that secured pdf let you fill

Then use a generic computer pdf printer to print your file to another pdf you will name and save to your computer. (There are plenty of free virtual pdf printers online) that will give you a new pdf unprotected.

Then you will use adobe acrobat to add text using the type text tool. Then you can type all you need the. Print sing and send to nvc

In the screenshot given below, point no.s 1 and 2 are '1'. what about 3 when you are applying for your spouse? you are married. but if you put '1' there, you'll be adding your spouse twice :D

Thanks a lot! :) I'll try the 'unprotecting' and then editing method first. If I'm not able to do that, I'll try the first method! Thanks again! much appreciated :)

2-7 says persons you are NOT sponsoring. you ARE sponsoring your spouse so you cannot count them in that spot.

if the beneficiary has an alien registration number then yes you put it in. But as far as i know alien registration numbers are from green cards (not sure if other visas) so i don't understand how the beneficiary would have one.

The note in the second line of your screenshot says, "Do not count any member of your household more than once." So if the AOS is for your spouse, you don't count them again in 3. :)

Hey guys...just a tip I thought I'd share...for those doing electronic processing. I have a joint sponsor and household member. When you click on "add joint sponsor" you can enter their info and upload the I-864 and their proof of citizenship. Then it takes about an hour for NVC to process that and add them under your name (the petitioners name). Once their name is added you can submit more documents like tax transcript, proof of domicile, etc. Then it will say "submit documents" once you're all done. I thought if I hit "submit documents" it would only submit them for the person I was working on...I hit submit documents when I was done adding the household members docs...but it submitted everything...mine and the joint sponsor. I wanted to look over mine and my joint sponsors one last time, but I didn't get the chance since it submitted everything! I was able to check what I sent...but you can't change or add anything. I only uploaded one year of tax transcripts for my joint sponsor...I wanted to do 3 years worth...but everything was submitted and I couldn't add that. I'm really hoping its not an issue...but on my joint sponsors I-864 i checked off the box for sending 3 years. So I'm probably going to get a checklist, ugh! So just remember...don't hit submit unless all docs are uploaded for everyone!
