Indeed, figure I'll send both just to be sure. Thanks!

Hopefully I am as insanely lucky the second time around: only took from Marc 1 - 15 to get the checklist. :)

We had the problem with sending in another birth certificate. We sent in another version, but it couldn't meet their strict requirements. I sent letter with it stating that there was no birth certificate available that could meet their requirements and that was the best we could do. If you can't get EXACTLY what they are asking for, you might think of including a letter like that. I don't know what the result will be for us yet though...about 3 weeks now since out 2nd scan.

YAYAYAYAYAYAY! FINALLY! a case number was assigned. I called today and they gave me the case number. My case is EP case.

NVC received my case on Feb 13th and a case number was assigned either today or Friday March 16th!

I did call on March 12th and the agent was kind enough to make a request for a supervisor to look into the case.

so what is the next step now guys?

Congrats 🎊 what is EP case?

Thank you :) It is electronic processing; I think it was referred to it as a pivot case.

wish you good luck.

Do you have the invoice number too? They emailed me both numbers & I was able to log on & pay both AOS & IV fees that same day. 2 days after that the status changed to "paid" & I was able to open the ds-260 & complete that. After that's complete you click on "start now" & upload all civil docs & AOS docs. I was able to complete all of this within one week of receiving the case number!

yes, they gave me the invoice # too. I will try to work on this tonight and hopefully it goes through. The DS-260 is to assign an agent, right?

Are there any tips when paying the fees? should I avoid doing anything that messes the system up? :D

I read some posts where they had issues when paying the fees.

Thanks for the info

I was having a bad week last week so I didn’t bother calling. I didn’t want some more upsetting news. I will try calling Tuesday morning. Hopefully we will both hear some good news soon!

The ds-260 is the long application for the beneficiary. I never saw the ds-261...I feel like I've read on here that for EP we don't have to complete the choice of agent...that it's automatically chosen based on what we put on I-130. Let me know if you see or don't see that.

Oh & no tips for paying...except that it has to come from a bank account...you can't pay by debit or credit card. But I had no issues paying either of the fees😊
