Sorta ,

You have to put that document checklist where we mark things on top outside both envelopes ,

If you go to ceac website where you paid AOS fees on receipts page on bottom you'll see option to print documents cover sheet , you can print that and put on very top of package then documents checklisted cover sheet then both envelopes

OK I see, thank you! I was going to make a mistake.

Thank you very much. I will do that too

Hi, remember to print the cover letter sheet provided on the ceac webasite once you paid, so they can scan your documents.

Just an update...we got our case number last monday the 12th...we are a pivot case. It took over 2 months to get the case number. However, the day we received the case number I was able to pay both AOS & IV fees. It took only two days to process and then the DS-260 opened up. We finished that on Thursday...friday I uploaded my husbands civil documents. And today I finished uploading all of the AOS documents. Everything says "Paid" and "Submitted". Now we wait, and hoping we don't get a checklist. So even though it took forever to get the case number...it took only one week to complete everything. Hope that gives some of you some hope who are still waiting for case numbers and are pivot cases!

Best of luck to you!

I too am a pivot case and got my case number exactly at 8 weeks. I paid the fees on Thursday night but it still appears as "in process"... Did you receive an email when payment went through? Or you just kept checking online?

I know this doesn't help, but for us that came from the horrorfest that was Nebraska, it makes sense that NVC is slowing down. They are probably ''holding'' some cases while they handle the influx of cases currently being processed. It's just a theory but I think it adds up since they have more than twice as many filers now.

It took most of us Nebraska victims that applied between November 2016 and March 2017 an average of 10-11 months just to get approved. To put things in perspective, It took other centers 6-7 months on average! Was it fair? no. Just as it isn't fair some people wait a few weeks for a case to be assigned and others, months. Some cases are completed in two-three weeks, we waited five. But it is what it is.

NVC isn't divided into centers like USCIS, so it means they have to handle us all, including Nebraska. Sorry guys :(

It helped a little bit, knowing that it would take longer and the possible reasons behind it. It didn't make it easier, but I didn't go as crazy if that makes any sense.

Now I still have around 4 months to go even AFTER getting a case complete at NVC. That is very specific to the Mexican Ciudad Juarez consulate though, most countries assign interviews in a matter of weeks or a month at most, hoping delays don't become a trend there as well.  Sigh. Nothing about this is simple or enjoyable,  a year and a half trapped in the process is bonkers. But here we are.

Stay strong, people <3 you have my full support and understanding.

I love the way you put it.  when using the terms Hellbraska or victims of Nebraska I think is funny gives something to laugh in the middle of this painful process . I hope we go thru this soon. I feel for those future visa applicants as things will start to get harder and harder with visa processes. I hope not but that what it looks like.

Thanks for sharing, I am still waiting for case number since beaning of February also a pivot case.  I am resignated to wait more, at least I have everything ready to upload , pdf documents at just a little less than 2mb per file, fees ready, etc. I hope they don't make it harder down the road with more "delays"

My case is being processed using CEAC...I first knew because one time I called the NVC and the agent told me.

Could you share, what NVC asks for AOS documents for pivot cases.

Hi,

Can you please tell me wich form i864 to use with a joint sponsor ??

hey! If you have a joint sponsor they need to fill in the regular form I-864 not the EZ one. The joint sponsor needs to fill in their own I-864, as does your petitioner (your partner!)

Does anybody know if I can schedule my medical exam before I get confirmation of my interview date? I'd rather just get it out of the way since I think my approval from the NVC is probably 4 weeks away.
