Pivot case is when you have to upload documents on CEAC website and common case is when you send documents by mail. NVC will give you the case # to proceed with the next steps of visa process.

Called NVC and said they received the petition yesterday! Then the operator told me the standard line "We are going to scan documents, create a case number etc... and it takes up to 8 weeks but it might be less than that". Good news at least it's officially at NVC!

I just called NVC now and I spoke to a male representative concerning my case number,and he said it will take up to 8weeks to get a case number 😩is that really true???or he said it for me to stop calling?am really pissed right now😬

That’s their latest processing time. I am in week 6.

Yes it is. For a long time they were telling us that the processing time is 2 weeks and we are a bit delayed. As of yesterday, they updated their processing time to 8 weeks.

wow thats really rude of him. its ok u can keep calling im in week 7 and call twice a day in afternoon and at night.
