Hello everyone, I would like to ask if anyone know , re I -864 when it’s filled by joint sponsor , does he need to submit evidence of income and federal income tax returns ( beside IRS Tax transcrips for most recent tax year and w-2 form ) ?

if you have IRS transcripts you will not have to have the W2. and be careful if you check the box to submit the last 3 years just make sure you do

I sent in only 2017 current and 2016 last

For ours they asked for w2 and tax transcrips, most recent pay stub and a letter from their employer saying they still work there

Thank you ! But on their website travel.state.gov says only most recent tax year which means last year .

So you are saying we don’t need evidence of income and federal income tax returns ? Am I right ?

there is a difference, if you send in the tax return, you will need the W2...if you send in tax transcripts there is no need for W2.

they will accept 2017 tax transcripts as recent years, but I included the new 2017 tax return and w2 since 2017 transcripts are not ready for mine yet, and then included the 2016 tax transcripts.

both will need evidence of income it is all in which type you give them.

How exciting 🤗🤗 i hope i get cc soon, i check status every 20 min lol... my husband will have his interview in Nicaragua hopefully its not soo backlogged

I'm sure it won't! Mexico is a special kind of inefficient, unfortunately :P

what I can tell you is, that the moment you relax and stop looking at it so much, it happens. I obsessed during the 10 and a half months we got stuck at USCIS, so I was exhausted and just pretty much started the NVC stage with a more laid-back approach. I feel much better!

I’m crying right now because of the case number :((. I have regular case and as other member recently got their case number after 4 weeks, I have a big hope getting mine this week. However, there is nothing :(. It is exactly 1 month since NVC received my case from Uscis.

You are not alone. We are in the exact same boat as you.  Today is exactly 1 month when nvc received our case.  I had big hopes today but when i called they said it can take upto 8 weeks. When I asked when i should call back to  check he said you don't need to call we will send you a welcome letter. He sounded rude.
