NVC is now open, but "due to the large number of calls we are receiving, all customer service agents are busy assisting other callers."

They do suggest we "go to their website to review answers to frequently asked questions," however I'm not seeing an answer as to why it's taken over a month for a case number to be assigned to our case..

What website is that?

Oh okay, USCIS took their time to send it, that sucks. :(

I'll call again next week to see if they received/scanned it by then. We're hoping for a case number in a month given how backed up they seem to be right now.

due to the weekend and the closer, I am guessing it will be in the bulk cases they get by Friday, and then mid next week it should be scanned in as received, then start counting about 3 weeks from the date they said it was scanned as received.
