Me too, pivot cas( Canada), NVC received my cas 13 february 2018 and no invoice number

Just thought I would share what the NVC told my husband, for those who are waiting on a case number. The NVC received our case on February 21st. We were told today that we do not have a case number yet but they are working on our case. As such, they won't escalate it to a supervisor because at this point there's nothing the supervisor can do. The agent said escalating to a supervisor only really helps if your case hasn't been looked at.

Not sure if the agent is correct or not but just thought I would share that just in case it helps anyone.

Hi, your case was received the same day as ours. I was just wondering if you were able to get a case number yet. I just called this evening and requested it go to a supervisor. The gentleman did confirm they were backlogged and that it may be a few more weeks.

Hi! No, I haven't received my case number yet. I'm planning on calling again on Thursday, once they've had our case for three weeks. I can keep you updated though.

Did they send your case to a Supervisor?

Yes, he took full names and DOB and sent it on. I'll probably try again on Thursday as well. All the best. Cheers!

Hi, just wanted to share with you our experience. We were trying to do same thing, and get a tourist visa but they simply didn’t give it to us. Officer said not required for tourist visa, already not a tourist but a spouse. But it’s always discretion of an officer, maybe yours will be more kind.

I'm guessing they didn't think you were going to just visit and leave.
