i am ready with all the documents except for the police certificate because I need something to that effect (showing the need for the certificate) for the police department.

 It's either after the fees are processed or after you complete the ds-260...I did this last week & can't remember! Sorry!

1-08-18 NVC Received case

3-12-18 Case Number Assigned / AOS & IV Fees Paid

It doesn't have to be. If you expect it to be more due to an annual bonus or merit increase you should probably include that. However it should probably align with your most recent pay stubs etc.

Are you calling for updates? I just decided to call yesterday to check if my case was being reviewed or in line for review; they said my case was completed, I checked the status and it says At NVC.

 

I believe they are working faster now.

Hello guys, 

 

I am not sure what to do here :( so I am petitioning for my wife. In the 1-130 I put she is a student (and she is) and mentioned that she is not employed. She does not work; but she does some freelancing from time to time online. 

 

I am filling form DS-260 now and the issue of employment is brought up again. I am wanting to mention that she is self-employed; but I am afraid that it will show conflicting information; do you think if I mention now she is self-employed, freelancing (Translation); would it cause issues? :(

How long does it takes to get welcome letter and is it when I’m doing my aos I’ll need to copy my police certificate please?
