you should start collecting and arranging all document by now. so as soon as you pay AOS fee print the document coversheet. place it on the top of all document and send all document.

It took us about an hour to complete...I suggest looking at the sample online so you know what info you will need like addresses to past employers & schools...stuff like that. If you know ahead of time it will save you a lot of time!

Thanks for the info. I meant to ask about when I can access. How long does it take to open up after I paid the fee?   I cannot see the tab in the website

But you should call on Thursday for sure and tell them that it has been 8 weeks... maybe they give priority to those cases? I’ve seen some people get the case numbers in week 9 after they made that call.

For me (electronic processing), it opened up 2 days after I paid the fees. So it should be soon, keep checking!

Oh boy.. it will take about 8 weeks for you to get it.. and you get it by calling and asking for it. But again 8 weeks.. well it took 6 weeks for me but right now its taking around 8 from what i read here. hang in there

8 weeks to get a simple delivery from another government within the same country??

It’ll take about 2 weeks to send, 2 weeks have it received, and then they’re saying 8 weeks to assign a case number. That’s all rough averages right now. The lucky ones take less, but most are longer. I think pivot countries are closer to 8 weeks (and over) and all other cases are roughly 5 weeks.

It is crazy.. it was so frustrating trust me. In my case it was worse..My I130 was approved and for 5 weeks i called NVC to see if they received and nothing. On the 6th week! USCIS decided to put my documents on the mail and send them to NVC. Great! they sent it ... i was happy until they arrived at NVC. Another 6 weeks waiting! for them to assign a case number and Invoice number. Be patient.. its not easy.. after all that i did the DS260, made the fee payments, did DS261 sent all documents for AOS and IV and back to waiting... its been 4 weeks so far still havent received "case complete" in order to move to interview.
