Same here. Pivot case is when the consulate in your country uses the online system and you upload documents on CEAC website and not send them by mail. Is yours a pivot case? It's taking 8 weeks to get case # if it's a pivot case.

You can check here. If the first 3 letters of your consulate are present in method 1, then it's pivot.

I dont know what pivot case means but yeah it would be 100% online not mail. That's what I've been told by lawyer.

I have a doubt regarding I-864. I read somewhere that it no more requires to sign in ink on the I-864 (It doesn't mean that there's no need for a sign, it just means that you just need to sign and scan and a print out of the same could be used). Can anyone confirm this? My spouse is with me outside the US. I can get her signature and scan and send to my brother in law in the US who also fills i864a for me, and can send all the final documents to NVC. Any light in this direction is highly appreciated! :)

Is it necessary to call NVC and request them to send the case to supervisor or will they send it even if I don't request them to? People who have their case #s, did all of you call and requested your case to be sent to the supervisor?

I would call...I don't think they automatically do anything lol. I think most of us called...and then even after it's sent to the supervisor you still have to call until it's pushed through. After mine was under "supervisor review" for 6 weeks, then they said they sent an email to another department to inquire why I didn't have a case number yet...then a week later I received it.

4-24-17 I-130 sent to Chicago Lock Box

4-25-17 NOA 1 & sent to TSC

1-08-18 NVC Received case

Hi! I called NVC and while they confirmed they received approved I-130 on March 15th they said they are generating a case number to wait for an email. I, then, asked how long would it take to receive a case number, the woman on the phone told me "we don't know", you just need to wait.

Why u don’t tell him you’d want them to be done now or ASAP I mean ur paying him right? U shouldn’t have to be waiting on him for so long and it’s jus slowing up the process

I did DS 261on Thursday, called Monday to have it reviewed and they unlocked the IV fee this morning (Wednesday) and I just paid it. Now waiting for IV application to open so I can complete.

Thank you. Does your AOS fee show “paid” yet? How long does it take to process the fee?

Aww, this is bad. They should do it automatically. It's my 4th week today. I called last friday and the lady asked me to wait for 8 weeks. What do you say when you call? I want my case to be sent to a supervisor? Thank you very much for your help.

This is becoming a total BS! K1s are still getting their case numbers within a week of NVC receiving their cases even with the 8weeks time update and am still getting the same it can take up to 8weeks bs. Is it a crime to be married for this process? What makes their case more important than mine or everyone else waiting on a case number for weeks?
