Hey guys! I got a cc today!! Ours is a pivot case.

NOA 2: November 15, 2017

USCIS Case sent: December 29, 2017

NVC Case Received: January 9, 2018

Case number assigned: February 22, 2018

Documents submitted online (SD): March 5, 2018

First checklist: March 16, 2018

Second SD: March 16, 2018

CC: March 27, 2018

Now waiting for Islamabad Embassy to schedule an interview! For all those with pivot cases, it does take a long time to get the case number but the process goes pretty fast after that so hang in there! We got a cc in 21 days even with a checklist!

So my case is a little tricky..they initially said NVC received it Feb 9th, then it was transferred to pivot..just found out why the other day...the original embassy that I applied for is going to be pivot soon..but I need my consulate to be changed so now I can officially request a consulate change and hopefully itll be done soon so we can proceed with the rest of the stuff

Yes you definitely should. I saw some for 3/2, 3/3 and 3/7 last week so I knew it was getting close and I was checking online constantly. Such a relief to be moving forward again. Good luck to you!!!!

HEY GUYS!! So some of you may remember my case..I was venting here a lot...lol So my case was sent to the Pivot department on March 12, 2018 and it said NVC received on March 12, 2018 instead of Feb 9, 2018 (when they originally received it) but anywayyyyy...after fighting, crying, arguing, countless emails to asknvc, emailing my congressman, and everythingggg...

I GOT MY CASE NUMBER AND INVOICE NUMBER in an email today!! according to my case number, my case was the first to be created yesterday but I called yesterday and this morning and even talked to a supervisor and they had told me it will take 8 weeks!!!

HANG IN THERE EVERYONE!! it WILL happen!! God is great!!! I was able to pay IV and AOS bill and they say "processing" now

Congrats. Please I am a little bit confused. We received our case number and invoice number today. What next r we supposed to do? We need help to enable us move faster please. We have already submitted form ds-261 for the choice of an agent. What next plzzzz????

Congratulations to you too! I found all the information I needed from here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Basically you have to fill out the DS 261(which you did), pay AOS FEE, pay IV Fee, put together the AOS and IV Packets (See link for more information) and send those in and also fill out DS 260 online

OK thanks my dear. I am like, do I need to immediately or the ds-261 needs to be reviewed or given some time before payment? Can I GI straight to doing the payments now? We received our numbers through an email. Will also check through the link u gave.

I left it blank...I have everything ready to go except for police clearance (I need the NVC welcome letter or screen to get it). Luckily, I just need to send it receipt to NVC as police will send directly to embassy.  I am soooo ready for the next step, but when will i get my case number?

I too thought I needed the NVC welcome letter because the instructions for Singapore said 'letter from authority requesting the certificate' but I submitted my NOA2 and they gave me the certificate with no problems :D

I know that HK police won’t do that...oh well, I should be able to get a receipt while the payment is processed...when I get a case number!

Hope the certificate will be issued very quickly! I was lucky to get mine like, the third working day after applying :D But... I still have no case number and I am non-pivot. Sigh.

The police mails it to the embassy directly so I will never know when it will be issued. It is just a weird process.
