Kushner's overseas contacts raise concerns as foreign officials seek leverage

what was i thinking posting confirmation of kushner's malleability or lack of appropriate security clearance? cehst is all about celebrity crushes/stoner references.

I know I know I was just giving you some #######. I saw this yesterday and it did surprise me I have to tell you. But considering I just got done doing a security clearance for myself and they scrutinized my foreign acquaintances and my wife's family to no end this doesn't surprise me that they are worried about foreign influence.

 

Edit. The really scrutinized my wife's family connections in the Philippines. Since she is from Mindanao where they have they trouble going on I had 2 interviews talking primarily about that.

i didn't realize you and your wife were working in the trump administration. 

considering kushner's massive responsibilities and lack of experience, his downgrade should have come about much sooner.

I wish I was a political appointee because they make more than I make and that DC cost of living adjustment pay is CRAZY. I am here working for the DOD in NC doing IT stuff as a GS not a Contractor.

Kushner didn’t have a security clearance.  He had an interim clearance.  Downgrading the request from top secret to secret just means he doesn’t have “need to know” in his position.

 

Now the question needs to be asked... did he have access to TS info while holding an interim clearance?  If so, why?  That’s usually only done at the secret level.

as to your question of why, do you know what all kushner has been tasked with by his dear father in law?

Yes, he had a Interim TS clearance which are given out and he got downgraded from the Interim TS to a S. So when it finally gets adjudicated it could still be a S or it could be a TS but we won't know until OPM finishes their investigation.

 

The second part does not need to be asked at all because he had a "Interim TS Clearance with Need to Know" so that allowed him access to TS information. A TS interim is given out but it is very rare and even a Interim Secret depending on the level is given out to people. I have a high level S and was not able to get a interim so I had to wait a year until it was completed in order to work in this job.
